You said that you were there to ask all the right questions, and you said that you got the right answers. But, all the answers that you wanted really were: 1) price, and 2) the number of available minutes each month. Unfortunately, one thing was overlooked: coverage. With Cricket's service, it's limited to the metropolitan area of the market. That coverage area may or may not include where you live. Before signing up with ANY cellular service, you should check on coverage to make sure that it includes your area. And even when their maps say they cover your area, coverage is NOT guaranteed. I agree, you should have been informed of the coverage area BEFORE the phone purchase was made. The rep at the store should be correct, if you don't pay for the next month, the phone will be suspended due to non-payment. But, depending on whether your billing is PostPay or PrePay, your billing may show you owe more. You said that the bill Cricket sent you was around $127.00, correct? Well, I can break down that total for you: $25 activation fee $2-3 activation taxes $45 monthly service fee $5-10 state & local taxes $45 monthly service fee (2nd month, which is billed the day after your due date) $5-10 state & local taxes (for the 2nd month) The bill that Cricket sent you should give you detail of all of that.
