Cross Country Bank ripoff Boca Raton Florida
I received a credit card from Cross Cuntry Bank almost 3 years ago and am still unable to get rid of them. The fees were rediculous right from the beginning. I signed up for the Payment Protection incase of disability or unemployment. About 6 months later i got fired from my job and decided to take advantage of the Payment Protection Plan. When i called them regarding that they told me that i cancelled it last month. which is Bull, because it was on my last statement.
i have had many problems with them but the worst is that i still can't get away from them. about 6 months ago i called them and said that i wanted to pay off my balance of $610. they told me that they couldn't accept the whole ammount. that i would have to pay a settlement offer. so i said fine. i figured it would get them off of my back. well i paid them $305. and they said my account was settled. well since then they have reported my account as a charge off to the credit bureaus, and are sending me more settlement offers. so basically they took the $305 as a peyment instead og a settlement. i had perfect credit before doing business with them. and now i am having a hard time getting them out of my life.
