This is in response to the ripoffreport.com submitted by Ms. Suzi Nl.
This shipment was delivered on 06/27/2009. There were two pieces that were either damaged or parts lost. I can not account for the phone calls that Ms. Nl claims to have made however the "demand letter" that she is referring to is dated July 14, 2009 received in this office on July 20, 2009.
Claim forms were sent to to her on July 27, 2009. The completed claim forms were received back in this office on August 10, 2009. Her claim was processed and carrier liability determined on August 19, 2009. A letter and settlement check were requested on August 21, 2009. A period of 11 days from receipt of her completed claim form.
Having claim forms notarized is not frivolous nor is it excessive red tape. There are many instances that claim forms do not represent either the damages, the contents of a missing box, or the type of liability that the contract calls for. It is clear to us that by requesting that the claim forms be notarized it has greatly reduces the number of claims that tend to inflate either the value of the claim or the level of coverage.
In most parts of the United States the cost to have a claim form notarized is around $10.00 and most banks will do it as a free service for a customer.
I cannot speak to the portion about the driver however I will state that I do not get complaints about Sergey, the delivery driver in question. He has always represented CCVL in a professional and respectful manner.
From the start this woman was talking about taking us to small claims court, quite a leap from filing a claim to going to court all within a two week period. I am not sure what she is trying to accomplish however I do believe that she has
over-reacted and is looking for someone to vent to.
Respectfully,
