You do not seem to get the whole picture, they lied and the contract should not be valid, read again, it has really nothing to do with a payoff on the escort, it was paid for in full at the time of trade. I am talking about their illigal practices and and you are only focousing on 1 issue of a trade in.???? Read and reread again until you get it.

The one thing I read in these posts is "the car dealer is going to pay off our trade" People wise up. The car dealer isn't going to pay jack. He/she is going to front you that money, usually at some horrible interest and you are going to pay off your own trade. The dealer just puts that amount on top of the new/used car that you are buying from him. I hear it all the time on radio and TV ads "We'll pay off your trade, guaranteed" They aren't paying jack, you are. This post is complaining about 22.53% vs 22%. They probably gave $600-$1000 for your Escort and you wonder why you are upside down. If people really knew how little they got for their trade ins they would run for the hills. But, they believe this "we'll pay off your trade in" crap and get taken big time. So remember: IT IS YOUR MONEY YOU ARE PAYING FOR. Good luck.
