$300.00 deposit given by cashiers check to Crystal Costopoulos at www.minidesignerpuppies.com for a Liver Parti Teacup Schnauzer.Approx 2 wks later Crystal e-mailed me to inform me the puppy had died. Crystal C. offered me a refund or wait until her next few litters were born. I told her I could wait but I wanted tyo reserve the right to a full refund of my deposit. She agreed.

Several months later when she was not able to produce a teacup puppy to my liking, I asked her to refund my deposit. She agreed. She 1st sent me only $ 100.00 of my deposit, and told me she would send the rest when she sold another puppy. I waited 2 wks and heard nothing. I e-mailed her again and told her I had been patient and I wanted the rest of my deposit. She said she would send it the next day.

When the check arrived it was only for another $100.00. Their was also a note stating I would not be recieving the rest. She was keeping $100.00 of my money. At no time did she tell me this until I recieved the 2nd check. I feel she was wishy washy and I gave her the deposit in good faith and she was not reputable and she has been shady in giving me my refund that she agreed to. I want the rest of my money back.

When I sent her another e-mail she told me good luck and I could try and sue her for it if I wanted to. Our contract for the puppy was cancelled when my puppy died and I feel she needs to refund all of my deposit and not in payments. I gave her all of the deposit at once and she should have refunded it in the same way. Please help!!! All should know she ripped me off for $100.00.

Beware of Puppy Mills

After having observed this breeder for the past year, including being on her Facebook page, I have concluded that she operates a puppy mill. Puppy mills use dogs in an abusive manner to drive revenue through reproduction. This is unethical behavior and damaging both to the individual dogs (pups and their mothers) and to the breed.Animals produced in puppy mills are often genetically ill and carry congenital health issues that may not show up until 2, 3 or even 8 years after birth. I urge people to avoid buying your pets through puppy mills like this and to avoid purchasing through pet stores that often source their animals from puppy mills. Don't set yourself up for heartbreak and expensive vet bills. Losing a deposit is only a small amount of damage compared to the heartbreak and expense of a genetically ill pet. Research your breed and find a reputable small litter breeder who practices safe and responsible breeding. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE IN WASHINGTON TO SHUT DOWN PUPPY MILLS.

Please dont buy a puppy from this breeder.  Please contact me if you have questions.  She sold me a sick puppy and will not give me a refund.  We are now going to court.  if you are in the process of buying from her please don't pay in cash. Use credit or Paypal, dont give a deposit and don't pay her until you have the puppy checked by YOUR Vet.  Please she will not return your money if anything is wrong with your puppy.  She won't evEn return your money if you left a deposit and didn't get a puppy.

I would like to introduce you to myself and how I run my bussiness. I am a pro. small dog breeder. I love my breed and treat my dogs like family. I have been raising Schnauzers on a pro. scale for about 12 years now. I welcome any visitors to my home and Kennel anytime. I did sell a T-CUP puppy to Miss Lugo on 3-6-09, we spoke on the phone at that time. I cautioned her about the puppy since it was a T-CUP and often they are touch and go for several weeks. She insisted on putting a deposit on her. She printed my contract from my website and sent it to me with $300.00. I invite you to visit my site and read my contract, www.minidesignerpuppys.com . It clearly states in all caps, (ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE). After getting the contract and deposit I was in contact with Miss Lugo every few days letting her know how the puppy was doing. I was always in contact with her mostly via email. The puppy passed a couple weeks into the contract. I offered Miss Lugo to get out of the contract since it was a new contract. She declined and wanted to proceed and wait for another puppy. Miss Lugo insisted that she wasn't in a hurry and would wait for the perfect puppy. I have since offered her 43 puppies to date (8-10-09). Now all of them have not been T-CUPS though. Most of they were Toys. Although 12 of them were T-CUPS. I have even offered her puppies at a much lower price and one that was worth much more for the same price. She did say she liked the look of some of the more expencive ones. She has picked out a few adults of mine that she said, she really like and I have offered her puppys by them or puppies who look just like them. They were not good enough. I just haven't been able to satisfiy her yet. I have spoke to her on the phone a few times and have sent just under 50 emails to her in the last 4 months. I have tried hard to work with Miss Lugo. A month or so ago she asked for her money back and I said, I would start sending it back as I got deposits on at that time puppies for sale. I would have sent the $200.00 back at one time if I could have. We are in the middle of buying a new place and money is tight. So as soon as I got a deposit I sent it right out (as promised). With the last deposit check I sent Miss Lugo a note stating that I was not refuning the entire amout and that like any other person the deposit of $100 would be held. By law and by our contract, the entire $300.00 was non-refundable, but I thought it was fair to send her back 2/3. I did spend lots of time trying to get her that perfect baby. I also told her that the deposit of $100.00 would be good at anytime when she was ready to get her puppy. She told me when she asked for the money that she still wanted a puppy from me later. I do have every email sent back and forth, including the ones where she tells me that all 43 puppies were ugly, (in her own words). She then proceeded to email me 3 days later telling me how she has 8 family members who want to buy puppies from me (this includes herself). I also have that in her own word too. With all of this I think she is the wishy washy one. If anyone would like to talk to me about this transaction I would be very happy to share everything with you. I also have all of the names, info., contracts and about 25-30 of each of the 43 puppies offered. All of them but, the young ones on my site are happy in there new homes. In 12 years I have only had 2 unhappy client and 100's of VERY HAPPY ONES. I would be happy to let you hear from them. I know that I can't make everyone in this world happy but, I try very hard to do so. I am very easy to work with. Feel free to give me a call.
