Crystal Lyn Cannon has had a strong reputation in the modeling industry, having worked for many years as the International Director for Rockstar Energy Models, but her reputation is largely negative. She not only worked for Rockstar but was a model manager on the side and had many jobs coming her way, where she hired models and bartenders etc. for companies and events.
I am sincerely surprised that Ms. Cannon has not been on Ripoff Report before. It boggles my mind that she has ripped off and tried to scam multiple people by 1. not paying 2. underpaying 3. paying very late after having to be harrassed and contacted to be paid. I wish more people came to the surface to bring awareness to her unethical practices; some have sued her or threatened for lawsuits, I suggest do this too.
I have worked for Ms. Cannon multiple times in my career because she has tons of connections, of course, and it was almost smarter to take a chance of being ripped off again and again by Ms. Cannon (she paid whenever she felt like it, and sometimes old balances she would not want to talk about) as working with her would mean well-paid and legitimate jobs with big companies, and she WOULD SOMETIMES pay.
Now that there are many more opportunities to take jobs, I no longer need to subject myself to this scammer, and as a result have suffered over $3000 of accumulated unpaid jobs (as I said before, she would pay sometimes, and continue to say she willpay the rest later - to no avail).
I suggest if you choose to work with Crystal Cannon to hire her team or to work with her as a model, see if there are any other options to work with someone else to get the same job - contact the company/client directly. Her character is shaky and she has been known to pay "favorites" or "friends" and keep cash for herself when it comes to balances. I am not the only one she has done this to. Hopefully you are careful and think twice about working with her, and hopefully others that have been ripped off by her can come forward on here.
