Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have a mixed experience with Crystal Pools. I had a custom pool built, and the sales team was great in helping me design the pool that I wanted within the budget I had.

However, this company has a horrible time communicating. They had problems during permitting, which were very avoidable and ended up slipping the schedule by several weeks. Once permits were issued, they couldn't even break ground for another 3 weeks. It seems that this company takes on more work than they can handle. Once construction finally started, they would work for a day, then disappear for a week or two. This construction process, understandably, is a huge disruption to your yard. They made no attempt to minimize this impact. I had to constantly pry information from them about what was going to be done next and when. They would sometimes respond to emails, and sometimes just ignore them completely. When I would call about an ignored email, there was often no answer on the other end, and no response to voicemail. Some simple communication would have gone a long way in making my dealings with them much better. The weather caused some of the delays, which I can understand, but they made no attempt to communicate to me the schedule impacts.

I had an issue with the location of the pumps. They installed them in a very weird configuration that differed from the plans. I have had no success in getting them to fix their error.

I have no complaints about the craftsmanship of the pool that they built. It was done well and is a beautiful pool done at a competitive price. But, they told me it would take 2-4 weeks in permitting and around 6 weeks of construction. It ended up taking 6 weeks in permitting and 18 weeks for construction. They appear to be way overbooked and have no idea how to effectively run an office. Stay away from this pool company, it will only add stress to your life.
