CT Corporation ,Devry University Devry refuses to provide college transcripts; Brings my education to a halt San Diego California
I attended Devry University here in San Diego got a single semester. I was originally planning on pursuing their 3 year bachelors program until I realized what they were about. I was quoted $50,000. $60,000. for a 3 year bachelors program and started attending Devry based on that figure. It is ironic that I took a math class this semester.
The first bills began arriving in the second week of class and right away they were alarming. I was starting with a single class which was less than half time and the charge for that math class was over $5000.!!! Plus they billed me for books and supplies which I had to pay for out of my own pocket. I started to ask questions immediately and during the rest of the semester it became crystal clear that Devry is about taking as much money from every student as possible. I spoke with the financial aid department who promised me a refund but that never arrrived.
Currently Devry is holding my transcript hostage for this single class and trying to collect another $1000. from me which they will never get. I took them to small claims court and I won a $6500. judgment against them which they refuse to pay and yet they continue to hold my transcript hostage. I had to drop out of school this semester for lack of financing and I am a straight A student with a 3.87 GPA! Avoid Devry at all costs!
