I WAS BUYING A HOUSE THROUGH CENTEX AND WAS CONVINCED THAT CTX MORTGAGE WOULD GIVE ME A FAIR DEAL, THE LOAN OFFICER PROMISED THAT I WOULD NOT PAY ANY POINTS SO I WENT AHEAD AND LET HIM DO THE LOAN. I WAS GETTING A 5.625% ON THE 1ST AND A 7.5% ON THE 2ND WITH NO POINTS. I HAVE A 700+ FICO.

AFTER THE LOAN OFFICER (JOE RABBIA) SCREWED UP THE LOAN 2 TIMES AND WE WERE 2 WEEKS LATE TO CLOSE IT FINALLY CAME TIME TO SIGN DOCS, AT WHICH TIME I SEE THAT HE CHARGED ME $4500+ IN UNDISCLOSED FEES AND TRIED TO STICK ME WITH 10.5 ON A $113K 2ND MORTGAGE. SO I CALLED HIM THE NEXT DAY AND HE TELLS ME "SORRY, THATS THE WAY IT IS, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT".

SO I HAD TO TAKE THE UNDISCLOSED CHARGES AND INSTEAD OF TAKING THE 2ND MORTGAGE, I PUT DOWN 20% WHICH WIPED MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT CLEAN. I TRIED TO SWITCH LENDERS BUT CENTEX SAID I WOULD LOSE THE HOUSE IF I DID SO. THEY F***ED ME GOOD, BEWARE OF CTX MORTGAGE.

I FILED MY COMPLAINTS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION (WWW.FTC.COM) AND WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATIONS, I ADVISE ANYONE ELSE TO DO THE SAME! DONT GET FOOLED BY CTX MORTGAGE

I've also am purchasing a home from Centex in California and I was refered to using CTX as my mortage lender. And as a bonus for using CTX I would have received 10k in closing costs. I completed everything CTX asked for, I meet the loan person, supplied them with every document they requested, did everything they asked and I received a good faith estimate. As my home was being built months went by and I assumed CTX had everything they need for my loan. We agreed that I would deposit 5% down for the home loan. Being that homes and foreclosing at a high rate; the CTX loan rep called me and asked if I could down 10% instead of 5%. I informed him that I could not. He said he will work on my loan and would cacll me back. As months went by I received a letter from Centex telling me that I had to have my loan finalized in 30 days as my house was about to close escrow. I have n\not heard anything from CTX about my loan. I just happened to stop by Centex sales office and talked to the Centex sales rep and she happened to tell me that CTX never got my loan. I called their offices twice and left messages; nothing. I had been stabbed in the back by CTX. I eventually scambled to get a loan from a bank and was approved through them. After I had my other loan all approved I received a call from a new person from CTX who left me a message saying that my initial CTX rep had left for vacation. But they found out that I got a loan from somewhere else and now they wanted to work with me again to get a loan! CTX never informed me that they could not get me a loan in the first place. They just left in the dark. If I haven't accidentaly found out that CTX didn't get me a loan I would have lost everything. It wasn't until they found out I got a loan elsewhere did they actually attempt to work with me. I believe they wanted me to fail and keep me in the dark. So that at the last possible minute CTX could tell me either down 10% or lose everything. Kind of like a take it or leave it deal only if I leave it i lose everything.
