Cheri contacted me when I put in a solicitation for an Event Planner for our Class Reunion in CA. I live in NE so I thought I would need help. She promised me that she would do everything and more.
I ended up having to do absolutely everything - book the venue, get the hotel rate that we promised classmates, pick and negotiate the menu and pricing and the layout of the venue. Coordinate and sign contracts for DJ, Photographer, Florist, etc. As it ended up we had the best reunion ever...but she had no hand in any of it.
She promised to have a website up in a day and it took her two weeks and it was terrible. Her spelling and vocabulary were embarassing and I had to re-write and try to reach her on various occasions. I could never get a hold of her. She could never give me an accurate count of who had signed up and paid. I would go days and weeks and not hear from her. It took me two weeks to get her to get the money to the venue before they cancelled the room. She comingled our money with other event monies and was never sure who had paid and who hadn't. It was a nightmare and I learned a very valuable lesson. I ended up hiring a vendor who had also been ripped off by her and that was the last straw. Within six hours I had my own website up and was able to tell instantly who had paid and what they ordered.
She is not to be trusted. I don't know if she is a crook or just totally incapable of following through with what she promises. Either way, stay away unless you are prepared for the trauma we went through
