I don't personally know the person who filed this report, but I have rented from D and D twice in the past and have appreciated their services greatly. They're half the price of any other place in the area for short term rentals for missionaries. The Next Step program they institued a few years ago because they had the housing stock for it and wanted to mostly help battered women. How this fellow even got to rent a place shows that they've adjusted their policies and want to help others, possibly people with substabce issues trying to get their lives together.
This person's report raised some flags with me, particularly his contention that he couldn't make the meetings, which, it appears, are few and easily met. The "I'm in sales and can't make some meetings" excuse sounds a little lame to me. If it were "I work in the Emergency dept. at the loca hospital and am on call" would be something a little more understandable.
I also know that they have a strict no alchohol and no drugs policy. Perhaps problems with this policy played a role, but I'm just speculating and have no information about this case. I know all the staff there, including Jerry Trask, and they have all treated me and my family decently. As a matter of fact, a few years ago one of the staff members there was fired for not treating D and D guests with proper courtesy. Bottom line is, I would take this man's story with a grain of salt. My experience, and the experience of everyone else I know who have rented from D and D was on the main positive.
