Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I hired a moving company who then subcontracted to D United Logistics.  My opinion is this company only exists on paper.  They had no trucks.  They showed up in a rented Penske truck with WalMart boxes.  They had to run off and hire another truck and then on day 3 a small trailer.  I told the people I hired it would take a 53 ft van because we were moving the same load we had previously moved before and it took a 53 ft truck.   They knew it was a 5 bedroom, 3600 sq ft house.   We did an inventory, twice, to insure we accounted for everything and still they show up with one 26 ft truck that they filled with boxes before every starting to load furniture.

What should have taken one day to wrap and load took them parts of 3 days as they were constantly late getting to the job site because they were constantly running to get equipment on a weekend in a very rural area.  One day the crew claimed they slept in the trucks overnight.

When it came time to go on the 3rd day they presented a contract for me to sign.  It was completely different from the one I signed with the company I hired and I questioned why I would sign a contract with them when I had already done so.  They had several excuses and I informed them that I didn't hire them, Open Road did.  My contract with Open Road was binding.  When I refused to sign it and called Open Road M & S the company I hired, they were told to put the correct info down and still refused to do so.  They left with a signed inventory and nothing more.  They were trying to fix a weight on the trucks without them being weighed and they were trying to upcharge the cubic ft price by $2 per CF.

Few days later they send me an email saying the two trucks and the small trailer had 31,000 lbs of household goods onboard and presented weight certificates that could not be matched to the trucks that left my house and they were from two different scale facilities, several hours apart, 600 miles from my house and now they want to bill me $17,000 plus.

interesting though that the 2 trucks and the trailer they used only have a cargo capacity of 21,650 (total) which means that they would have been 10,000 lbs overweight as the drove down the interstate and thru the scale facilities from the Oregon border on their way to Los Angeles.  When we tried to point out their deception Joe Klein became verbally abusive in his emails, called us liars, delusional and demanded we pay up front and in full to get delivery.  We refused and have since filed a police report, a homeowners claim and several complaints with the Federal Motor Carriers depts, Better Business and the California Attorney Generals office.

We were told our belongings were loaded into a truck last Sunday, 8 days ago to be shipped on Monday to Texas.  A 3 day drive from LA at best.  That didn't happen.  Then it was Wednesday, didn't ship, then we were told Thursday with delivery today (Monday).  No sign of it and it's 3 pm

Today marks the 30th day since they loaded our belongings and nothing.

Meanwhile they told Open Road M & S that they thought delivery had taken place yesterday.  Just more lies from pathological liars and now no one can seem to reach the driver.

Run as fast as you can from these people.  They are a scam and Joe Klein will claim it's everyone elses fault.
