Dade County Federal Credit Union DCFCU WARNING...DON'T BANK WITH DCFCU Internet
WARNING....WARNING....DON"T BANK WITH DCFCU!!
I'm a member of DCFCU and it's a nightmare. The newest issue is so unbelievable that it defies logic. I requested $60 from their Coral Gables Branch ATM, the machine only spit out $20 since there was a malfunction. The bank charged me the whole $60, so I disputed it (I only rec'd $20 of the $60), so far not a big deal. The bank told me it could take up to 10 days for me to receive my credit....10 DAYS!!!!!!! Any other big bank would give you the credit immediately while they conduct their investigation and then adjust your account upon completing the investigation. So basically, the banks ATM malfunctions, and I'm oout $40 for 10 days or so. Any company that punishes their clients for their mistakes or malfunctions is a company not worth doing business with. A bank should not be able to place your funds on hold for no fault of your own!!!! I demand they return the $40 I worked for and they are currently unlawfully holding. It's my money - this is theft!!!!!

DCFCU, after reading my negative reviews on Yelp and on this site, has decided to credit me the $40 it was holding. I still feel that the company's policy towards ATM malfunctions is horrible towards it's members, and needs to be updated. I also feel that the company needs to enpower it's employees to make logical decisions, outside of stringent & unflexible policies. Nonetheless, I appreciate the fact they took care of the situation after a little pressure.
