1999 Jeep Grand(not really) Cheorkee Lerado. Do not buy! At 57000 miles this SUV is falling apart. Zero off road miles and thus far the front breaks and rotors have had to be replaced, four out of six speakers just don't work, or are blown, coolant leak, and best of all my rear differential is shot at 57,000 miles.

Not what I would call a Jeep. I have other words, but not Jeep. Sent a letter to D/C, they blew me off. All I was asking for was a little support. What I got could have come form my ex-girl friend, "well sorry nothing I can do for you". I have owned 5 different cars, I have never had one for such a brief period, and had so many high end problems. D/C say's not their problem, I, you, we the consumer are stuck with the bill for a vehicle that has had these problems on an epidemic scale.

I say not fair, a multi-billion dollar a year company screwing the consumer again. I STRONGLEY urge anyone considering a purchase from this company to stay clear. They are after the $$$$, and that is the end. I guess that is what the Daimler part means. So much for the Jeep folks.

What do you expect from an American car??? I made the same mistake and purchased one - a '95 limited. What a clever name, everything about it is limited - comfort, performance, handling, power, and of course reliability. I work for a huge car dealership with hundreds of top-dog technicians who certainly won't try to rip me off and still my jeep has been in our shop way more often than any car i've ever owned before. Oh, almost forgot to mention - 61000 miles on it. THIS IS THE LAST YANK CAR FOR ME.
