On August 23, 2013 my sewer appeared to be backing up into my shower. I called my septic company which came around 8:00pm to check my septic tank. He informed me that the system was fine and that the problem was between the septic tank and the toilet. He called a plumber for me (Gerry Gardner, Diamond Septic) to come and resolve the problem. Gerry came to the house later the same night and worked very hard to solve the problem. The final outcome was I needed to replace all of the old pipe under the south side of hte house all the way to the septic tank.
He then gave me a quote of $6500.00 to do the job. I was leaving town in the morning and did not want to leave the family without the sewer system working, so I agreed to have the job done. I paid $3500 up front and my wife was going to pay the remainder upon completion. While I was out of town my wife called and told me that Gerry changed all the pipes under the house but did not go from the house to the septic tank. He said that everything was fine there and that he was going to take $500 off of the finale bill. No being there I assumed that the work was done properly and that Gerry's information was accurate.
On June 19, 2014 I began to notice that my toilet was making a bubbleing sound when the shower was running. On June 13, 2014 my sewer began to back up into the shower again, I called Diamon Septic and Gerry came out late that night to fix the problem. After trying to run a snake through the septic tank to the house he realized that there was a clean out in the yard that he did not know was there from the August job. He was unable to run the snake from the clean out to the south side of the house. He told me that the problem was between the house and the clean out (which should have been changed).
I tok him that he had deducted $500 off my total cost since he believed the pipe between the house and the septic tank was ok so I was going to pay him $500 to finish the job. He told me that he would return on Wednesday June 25th to dig up the pipe and finish the work. At 1:00pm on Wednesday he had not shown up so my wife called him. He told her he was bush and would be at the house on Thursday June 26 between12:00 and 1:00pm. He again did no show up. My wife called him several times after 1 but all her calls went to voice mail. She left him a voice mail to let us know if he was coming and what time.
After several hours of trying to call him by wife made one final call (which went to voice mail) followed by a call from my bother in-law (who has an out of state phone number) which was answered. Gerry was apparently suprised by the call when my brother in-law taold him who his was calling for and why, but it did not help the situation. Gerry told my brother in -law that he was backed up and gave no idication as to when or if he was coming. I waited until 5:00pm on the 26 and called another plumbing service to comple the job.
At 8:26 pm on June 26, 2014 I sent Daimond Septic a text message telling Gerry that after waiting 2 days for him to complete the job I had hired another plumbing service and he was no longer need. I did not get a response from my text message but he did not come to the house so I assume he got it.

Diamond Septic went out to the location and looked at the job,We did plan on going back and only charging them $500,But we So as far got busy.So when they called I told them i was very busy and they probably should find someone to do the job because I wasn't going to make it.When they were leaving voice mails i was up in the mountians out of service.I was just getting down from the mountian when i receaved the call from the so called brother-in-law. He told me they no longer needed me so i never went to the job. Then shortly ofter that i got a text not to show up.How could it be a rip off if i never took any money for a job i didn't do in hte first place. The job i did under the house was completed and yes i did take money off for the part we didn't have to replace. So they think I riped them off by not making it to the job.No money was paid for the other repair. If someone else charged them more i can't reaLLY Help that sorry. So this isn't really a rip off if no money was taken. Sorry i got busy that day.
