On a Monday morning Dallis Pullam arrived at my home to fix refrigerator that was making noise and leaking. Dallis focused only on the leak and stated that the door was leaking.  I told him that refrigerator was doing the same thing it had done 5 years ago and showed him the part that was replaced at that time.  He immediately told me that it was not the problem and that I had ice in my door which was leaking.  He stated that he had to take the door completely apart so it was going to be very expensive.  He loosened the molding around the door, said there was some ice, used my hair dryer to unthaw, put the molding back and place, adjusted both doors and left.  He charged me $180 and was at my house for 45 minutes.

I called him that night to tell him that the regrigerator was warm, and inside the freezer the ice and ice cream were melted, and there was ice over the back panel in the freezer.  He told me that the termperature knobs were probably accidentally knocked when adjusting the doors and turn up the temperature.  At 6:00 I turned them up and when there was no change, turned them up all the way at 10:00.

On Tuesday there was no change so I called Dallis and asked him to return to fix the refrigerator.  I asked that he come as late in the day as possible so that I missed as little work as possible and asked that he call my cell phone when he would be able to be at my house because I needed 30 minutes to get home.  I never heard from him and arrived home at 6:00 to find that he left me a message at 5:23pm telling me that since I wasn't home he couldn't come fix the frig.

On Wednesday, I called him again asking him to return to repair the refrigerator.  He called my cell phone around noon to tell me that he was too busy to return to my house and would "send another guy."  I met Steve at 2:00 and showed him the part that was replaced 5 years ago and said it was doing the same thing.  He took the freezer apart and told me that I was right, the defrost timer was broken and needed to be replaced.  He replaced the part and the refrigerator was repaired.  I then found out that Steve was not someone who worked for Dallis, but someone who has their own business and sub-contracts for Dallis.  Therefore, I had no alternative but to pay an additional $180 to repair the refrigerator.

Steve was very pleasant and knowledgeable.  He repaired the refrigerator and should have been paid.

Dallis did not repair the refrigerator, overcharged me, and would not return to fix the refrigerator in spite of the fact that his receipt states "30 days warranty."  He knowingly sent a subcontractor so he would not have to return to resolve the issue and knew that I would have to pay double for service.  This is a SCAM!
