Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

A friend of mine had the misfortune to have felt with Vickie J. McCord and, more recently, of DH Horton.  The sellers agent (Mc Cord) and the seller (a personal friend of M Cord's) were not honest, lying when the buyer asked about important questions on the house.  Vickie McCord advertised the home as "remodeled with great pride" except all the remodeling (including an addition off of the kitchen) was done without the lawful permits.  The poor work done by the unlicensed seller, William E. (Edward) "Billy" Scutt, began falling apart soon after the buyer moved in.  Ms. McCord was aware of this as she did the permit search on the home.  Ms. McCord was asked important questions about the home and lied, telling the buyer, for example, that all of the plumbing and electrical work had been redone in the home (it had not).

Ms. McCord is a coward who tried  to hide behind the "as-is" contract, but regardless of the as-is contract, realtors are responsible in Florida for verifying the accuracy of information given to them by the seller (Scutt).  So, Ms. McCord cannot just say that is what the seller told her, Ms. McCord was responsible for verifying the accuracy of that information before sharing that information with the buyer.

On the termite inspection, evidence of termites was found and Ms. McCord lied and told the termite inspector that the owner (Scutt) had treated the home, which was incorrect.  This cost the buyer an additional several thousand dollars to have the house tented.  And when asked on the sellers disclosure the seller said that he thought the previous owner had treated the home, but provided no proof of any treatment.

When my friend started speaking out about the blantant fraud committed against her in the shady real estate transaction, Vicki McCord's psycho daughter, Danielle McCord Santoro, began harassing the buyer, also sending the buyer several threatening messages.  Danielle Santoro even went so far as to stalk the buyer on social media, contacting friends and family of the buyer and spreading vicious lies about the buyer.

"Buyer Beware" is the best advice I can give anyone who comes into contact with Vicki J. McCord and her daughter, Danielle McCord Santoro.  I am not sure which is worse, McCord or Santoro, but these are scary, highly unstable individuals.  There is an abundance of realtors about there to chose from.  Find a realtor that actually know what the are, anyone other than Vickie J. McCord and Danielle McCord Santoro.
