The following is my own, true experience with an unforgivably filthy and unconscionable CON MAN who utterly duped, without a trace of shame, both me and my elderly mother. And he conned us out of $20,000.00. This is exactly what happened to me; this is indeed a true account because, you see, well, to put it simply, I am NOT A LIAR!!!!!
I live a simple life in Santa Barbara, California. One day, I hired Dans electrical company to fix a single flickering light in my hallway. I took out the Santa Barbara Yellow Pages and chose, purely at random, Dans Electric, as Dans Electric had a large ad which stated local electrician, reasonable rates, 24-hour service, blah, blah, blah. ALL WAS NOTHING BUT A HUGE LIE. ALL OF IT. But I had NO IDEA. Well, I found out later that Dan a.k.a. Patrick Horan and his filthy crew actually drive 3 hours up from Sylmar in Los Angeles to Santa Barbara every day. Why do you think they do that?!?!? Let me tell you why: They come to rather wealthy Sanbta Barbara, posing as locals, lying cobnstantly, in order to utterly CON and to thoroughly DUPE unsuspecting people like me!!
So I believed him and the inspection began. Soon enough, Patrick, a.k.a. DAN, supposedly discovered burnt and melted wires. He stated, in no uncertain terms, that my whole house was in a severe fire danger and that I was in grave danger of losing my house to fire; he then produced melted wires for my inspection. I BELIEVED HIM. I REALLY DID!! Now, today, I learn from a real local electrician that told me that Dans Electric, specifically, was the worst of the worst in conning people and further, that the electricians (Patrick a.k.a. DAN HORAN) routinely carried burnt, melted wires in their pockets to dupe unsuspecting homeowners LIKE ME into work that is not at all even necessary. FRAUD.
As the project went along, surprise, Patrick continued to find many other problems. I did not know the difference as I know virtually nothing about the electrical wiring of a house. Guaranteed that Dan a.k.a Patrick Horan was quite aware of that. I believed him because I did not ever think that he was the thieving, conniving, utterly unconscionable con man that he actually is.
All the while, Dan a.k. Patrick Horan continually referred to his (FICTICIOUS) boss as he told me that he himself, Dan a.k.a. Patrick Horan, was merely the foreman; he would supposedly consult with his (LIE) boss when the situation involved how much money it would cost; He used no contracts either. Anyway, I later found out that he, Dan a.k.a. Patrick Horan is the SOLE PROPRIETOR of Dans Electric. HE HAS NO BOSS!!!! LIAR.
So, as the crew went along, Horan just presented me with invoices every couple of days. No contracts were used. And I still had no clue. Dan, uh, the so-called foreman, he, Patrick, a.k.a. DAN HORAN, then went to my elderly mothers house to collect the checks: The first check: $6,800.00; second: $3,049.00; third: $5,970.00; and the fourth check was for $3,000.00. And also in the end, Dan a.k.a. Patrick Horan had shown me an invoice for the last few days with one amount, only to charge my mother $2,214.00 more that what he had told me. I found out about this and called this FILTHY CROOK, Dan a.k.a. PATRICK Horan to ask him about the large discrepancy and, the very next day, Dan Patrick Horan was at my front door with a check for $2,214.00 in one hand and a contract for me to sign in his other hand. The contract in his hand that stated, upon receipt of this refund of the deliberate overcharge of $2,214.00, that upon accepting that check, I agree to never sue him, Dans Electric, for fraud and that I agree never to report him to any agency for anything else. FRAUD and HE IS PROUD OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!So, STILL not knowing that I was indeed the victim of a crime and, by the way, its call in legalese, SCHEME TO DEFRAUD. And that contract that I signed to get my money is null and void under the law if it was signed during the commission of a crimeFRAUD. So, in other words, it was like he was holding a gun to my head and I signed my life away to get my own money back. BULLSH*. And further, when I signed that worthless contract, that poison fruit, during the commission of an unspeakable crime, i.e. FRAUD, any contract is NULL AND VOID.
As any one can see for themselves, five separate people have filed five separate complaints about this predator, Dans Electric of Sylmar, CA Santa Barbara, CA, Oxnard, CA, Van Nuys, CA and god only knows where else; All complaints report gross overcharging, fraud, lying about electrical work to be done, and misrepresentation. Dans Electric of Sylmar, Ca, has an F rating with the BBB (better Business Bureau).
This guy, Dan a.k.a. Patrick Horan, of Dans Electric of Sylmar, CA, is truly an unconscionable criminal. A pathological liar that is convincing, and a sociopathic CON MAN that truly does not have even a semblance of a human conscience.
Later, only after I discovered that I was the victim of serious fraud, all four of the local, Santa Barbara electricians that came to my small, 700 sq. ft., house, each one told me that all materials used in the unnecessary rewiring of my house, cost Dan Horan just over $500. And he charged me $20,000. Furthermore, each of the four local electricians told me that the same exact wiring job, which was, by the way, totally unnecessary, i.e. FRAUD, would have cost around $4,000 by any other [honest, non-sociopathic,] electrician.
In the end, Ive been utterly conned, lied to and thoroughly duped by a filthy criminal, a CON MAN. Ive been RIPPED OFF for $20,000. Now, Dan a.k.a. Patrick Horan, should 1.) lose his license, 2.) REPAY MY MONEY IN FULL, and 3.) GO TO PRISON for being a stupid, filthy, worthless, conniving, pathological liar and a worse than useless chronic loser.
I, for one, do NOT appreciate getting RIPPED OFF BY FILTHY, WORTHLESS, GREEDY-TO- THE- POINT- OF SHEERLY STUPID, CHRONIC LOSERS, MINDLESS GUTTER THIEVES, AND GENERAL USELESS DEGENERATES. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY OF THEM IN MY OWN COMMUNITY OR ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER
