On 9/12/2012 I ordered Ben and Dave's Six Figure Program - I had to give them my credit card information and I had to agree to be charged $27, which posted to my account almost in real time.

There is no way - contrary to claims by "some" individuals - that they could have charged my account unless I gave them permission first. You have to be STUPID to give credit card information without reading the terms and conditions!  (They can't charge your account if you don't give them your number!  And if you give them your number, you darn well ought to know what they are going to DO with it!)

(Although I have no reason to ask for a refund, my experience with these guys would indicate a prompt refund would be forth coming.)

Seven days later my intro package arrived in the (snail) mail - although it was a "flat pack" instead of the box shown in the on-line video presentation, it none-the-less contained information that seems to fulfill their promise.

In the mean time, while waiting for the package - I took advantage of all the information and training help they offer on-line. (I went to WORK! I actually DID something with the information they provide!)

Under their guidance, I purchased a new web domain name and hosting service from a third party ($118.20 more - but NOT to Ben and Dave, so I can't ask THEM for a refund!)  I also purchased an optional "Search Engine Blaster" from the same third party for an additional $49

My total to get started was $194.20. As an experienced entrepreneur and knowledgeable website builder, I think that is very reasonable.

Once I had my domain name and hosting purchased, Ben and Dave set up my new website promptly - (I think it took less than 24 hours) and I immediately began to view (and download) the super abundance of on-line training videos. Those videos guided me through customizing my new website (a work in progress).

I am a retired computer customer service technician (Packard Bell Computers, left the USA circa 1999) with more than a little experience with the Internet. I have owned dozens of self-created websites and have dabbled in affiliate marketing before.  If I have ANY problem with Ben and Dave's Six Figure Program it is "information overload" - and the sometimes redundant training (I have been told that "repetition is the key to learning" - so maybe the repetition was not really redundant after all).

Although one can find some guidance in affiliate marketing for free, it would be hard to duplicate the massive amounts of information and direct personal assistance I have received from Ben and Dave's program. I've been at it for six days now (some days putting in ten or twelve hours) and STILL have several hours of video training to watch, and a LOT of work to do, before I'll be content with my new website. (Nobody said it would be easy! If it was EASY, then EVERYBODY would be doing it!)

Although answers to new questions may take a day or two to arrive, it is apparent that the customer service department actually takes the time to read incoming email and provide thoughtful answers. In some cases, the answer is to go back and review a video training session, in other cases, custom guidance is provided.

(Note: Should an investigation be started into this program, I have kept all communications on file and downloaded all training videos viewed to date, and will make them available to any lawyer or law enforcement agency that asks.)

One codicil, however.
If one is to participate in this program, it is prudent to read AND UNDERSTAND all "Terms and Conditions" and all "Privacy" statements before providing any personal or financial information (this can be tedious and time consuming, but it is important!)  Although Ben and Dave provide links to many affiliate programs, each affiliate has their own terms and privacy - and some of them are a bit "tricky" - caveat emptor! (And don't shoot the messenger - or publisher - if you screw up and get burned!)

A word of advice is also in order. This is not some "Get Rich Quick" scheme nor a "Do nothing and make money" scam. This is very clearly a self-employment opportunity where a LOT of learning and "do-ing" is required. (If you are not willing to learn and "Do what is required", don't whine when you dont make money sitting on your can!)  In my opinion, this is far better than a college education and a whole lot cheaper!

It is apparent that Ben and Dave have put a LOT of time, money, effort, and research into their program - and they continue to build on this base and offer (sometimes for profit, of course) additional training and guidance, sometimes including seminars in exotic locations.  (Note:  I suspect that Ben and Dave make money when YOU make money - otherwise, why would they go to all this trouble for a miserly $27?!  Even if they get a commission from their promoted website host, it is STILL a penurious pittance!)

I do note, however, that sometimes their examples of earning potential seem a bit unrealistic, and their presentations lack "polish" and professionalism.   Chalk that up to enthusiasm, possibly mixed with a perhaps an overly developed level of optimism.  None the less, if one works diligently and patiently, it seems reasonable to expect a decent return on investment - it just may TAKE awhile. (It has taken over a YEAR for my last previous website to get to the top of page one in a Google search, so it is reasonable to expect that a new website won't start making a lot of money real soon!)

One last thought. It is axiomatic that no business can please everybody all the time. The larger the business, the more complaints one can expect. The very fact that there are so few complaints listed here is a VERY good recommendation for Ben and Daves Six Figure Program.  And the complaints I HAVE seen seem to fall into the category of "sour grapes" from folks who acted imprudently or lazily.
