I contracted with EZ Moving Van Lines to move from Portage IN to North Las Vegas NV on July 26, 2017.  My items were supposed to be picked up on July 29 between 7-9 am.  The movers arrived at 8:30 pm and said that they did not have room on their truck for our items.   They said they would return at noon the following day.  They finally arrived at 2:45 and took our belonging.  They made us pay an additional $150.00 for stairs.

Our items were scheduled to be delivered on August 8.  On August 6, they called and requested delivery on August 7.  We could not accept delivery because we were still in Indiana.  They agreed to deliver on August 8.  We finally received our items on August 10, 2017 after payinng an additional $387.87.  They claimed that our items were overweight and refused to open the truck until the balance was paid in cash.  My husband went to bank to withdraw additional money.  After everything was unloaded, we realized that items were missing - a total of 27 out of 81 items, including many irreplacable items and brand new items.

We contacted EZ Moving and they informed us that it was contracted out and gave us the contact information for David & Goliath Moving.  We also received the copy of our contract on August 10, 2017.  We filed a claim with David & Goliath on August 11 with a list of our missing items.  They assured us that it would be 7-10 business days and our items would be found and delivered.  I also requested copies of my weight tickets.

After calling daily for updates, we finally received another shipment on September 15, 2017, after paying an additional $200.00. 15  of the items are still missing, several irreplaceable items and several of the new items included.  I spoke with Jerry, their customer service manager who could care less that our items were missing.  I spoke with Eli, their dispatch manager who actually had the nerve to state that he "lost money" on our move.  He stated that I should be happy that 80% of my items were delivered.    I cannot believe that these words even came out of his mouth.  How would I assume that everything that I sent with them would not arrive?

After careful review of the contract, they have violated it several ways:

1.  Contract says 21 stairs are included in move -- we had 14.

2.  Contract states that unless a new estimate is given at pickup, they cannot charge extra at delivery.

3.  Contract states they have 30 days to deliver items, it has been substantially longer than that and we have no idea if we will ever see the rest of our belongings.

4. Contract had pickup window of July 27-29 and they did not pick up until July 30.

They now refuse to answer their phone and never return messages.  They only way that I can get someone to answer the phone is to block my number before calling.
