David Papen Omega Mod Group Ecoventures LLC Eco Cabins David Papen of Omega Mod Group in Neosho, MO took $48,000 in deposit for two tiny homes and postponed delivery over the course of 2 months. Finally, on what we thought would be the day of delivery, he remained in contact with us by phone and by text message letting us know that they would deliver tomorrow. The next day we had the same message and the day after that, and he texted saying the delivery truck had a tire issue and they wouldn't be able to deliver that day either. When we pressed him about the details of the tire issue, which he had said were 15 minutes away from our location, he told us he also had a death in the family and that he could not deal with this situation right now. We offered to help by locating the delivery truck ourselves and he gave us a general area in Springfield where he had left the trucks carrying our two tiny homes.
He said he would get back to us with their exact location. When he continued to put us off saying he hadn't heard from them yet and that he didn't have the number or the name of the delivery company with him and that he was too distraught over the death and over his daughter living in the Carolinas during the hurricane, we decided to drive around the Springfield Freeway he said they were on. We found nothing, and we called him again, letting him know where we were. He became distraught over all he had going on right now, and he sent us pictures of a bloody finger he said was of one of the drivers of the delivery trucks. He told us he had taken this driver to the hospital and that he is ok now.
We offered to call the delivery company ourselves which agitated him more and he hung up. We found out that he had done the same thing along with his partner, Darin Zaruba in Colorado Springs, CO and was currently frauding a non-profit in Springfield MO, who were housing disabled homeless people and having the same experience we were. We have contacted Neosho police and have given a full report. We are looking for others who have had similar experiences with this individual and/or with any of these companies. Colorado Springs, Neosho CO, MO
