David's Bridal in Tallahassee, FL couldn't care less about their customers. As a soon to be bride I was very excited to go into David's bridal and start the hunt for my perfect dress. Little did I know I would find it that day. During the checkout process I noticed that the girl who helped me find my dress was throwing lots of different things at me such as their dress restoration package "which would normally cost you $200 but David's bridal offers it for $99" I wasn't very much interested in that but I didn't say "no thank you" so they added to cart without me really realizing. No big deal, I quickly got over that. They put my dress in a garment bag, which by the way they also charge you for, and put my slip, my veil, my headpiece and other things in the Bottom of the garment bag. I got home that evening and hung my garment bag up in my closet and didn't open it again until 4 months later when I went to a local shop to have it altered. I noticed that the blusher, a piece of the veil that goes over my face, was not in my garment bag. I called the store and spoke with there store manager Andrea to confirm that it was supposed to have gone out of the store with me that day, or if they had shipped it to me along with another slip I had ordered but they didn't have in stock. She said that it had in fact gone into the garment bag the day I bought my dress, yet here I was 4 months later opening my bag for the first time to find no blusher. I told her I would check the bag again. I checked the bag again and it was not there. A couple of days later I called back while I was on my way to Atlanta for my bridal shower. The time in my life that should be filled with happiness! I called her over speaker phone while driving and had one of my bridesmaids in the car with me so she heard this entire conversation. I told the girl who answered the phone that I had paid for a blusher, it was on my receipt, but they blusher in was not in my bag so I needed her to send me another one. She said "yes let me write down your address and we will send that to you" she then put me on hold. I was on hold for quite sometime and finally someone came on the phone and said "we can send you a new blusher with no shipping costs but you will have to pay for the blusher" I then told her that I had already paid for the blusher and I was not going to pay for another one. She then put me on hold again and got her store manager, Andrea. Andrea got on the phone and proceeded to tell me that "they counted their inventory and were not plus one blusher" and she told me that I had waited for 4 months so they would ship me a blusher but I had to pay for it. I got very angry at this point and said I shouldn't have to pay for another blusher when her people didn't include the one I paid for into my bag. She told me I had waited for 4 months and that I could have done something with my blusher and was trying to get a new one for free. I was completely taken back to basically be called a liar from a store from where I had spent so much money and sent my entire bridal party. The blusher was only $18. I would have no problem buying a new blusher if I was in the wrong, but it became a principle of the matter type of situation when the store manager became rude with me and in her own words called me a liar. I have never in my life experienced such terrible customer service. I have spent time working in retail and I know first hand how important good customer service can be. I would never recommend David's bridal in Tallahassee to anyone. I honestly can not understand how a person like Andrea would be any stores choice for manager.
