Davison Inventegration - Davison & Associates threatened that they could use my invention idea and I would not get compensation, ripoff Pittsburgh Pennsylvania*Update.. Rip-off Report Investigation: Davison Design and Development (Davison Inventegration) pledges to resolve all complaints and address any issues with customer service, commitment to 100 percent customer satisfaction - commitment from Mr Davison and other executives, inventors should feel confident in trusting Davison's commitment to their project..
I contacted Davison Inventegration some months ago about my invention idea. They kept e-mailing me for specific details. Finally, I sent my idea to them by e-mail. A representative contacted me. She attempted to call me 3 times by phone. I had been out of town for a few days. When I got home and contacted her she was very rude and seemed peeved about me not contacting her sooner.
She then said she would send me a packet and a contract to sign. When I received it and reviewed it I was a little surprised and dismayed that they wanted $685 up front to start the process (for patent searches and product related data searches, they said). I also did not feel quite comfortable about sending that much money all at once.
I also became suspicious about Davison being a legitimate trustworthy company. So I told her I couldn't afford to send that much money. She then said they could make arrangements for a down payment and monthly or weekly payments. I still did not feel right about this and I said that I couldn't afford even making payments since I was not employed at this time.
She then got very rude again and said that she could tell I was not serious about my invention and that my financial problems were not her concern. Her only concern was marketing my product. So I finally told her to forget about it and that I could not pay the money now or in the near future.
She then informed me that "You do understand that if someone comes to us with an idea or invention very similar to yours that we may decide to pursue this invention and market it and you will not be entitled to any compensation, don't you?"
I told her yes I did. What I didn't say was that I understood that they could steal my idea and market it as their own and I could not receive any compensation and there was nothing I could do about it.
I really felt violated, almost as if I had been physically attacked by her and her company. She was so cold in her manner she had me crying after our conversation. But I thank God they did not get any of my money. I also feel very sorry for the people that unfortunately did send money to this company and will not see any returns on their investment.
I really think someone should file a class-action lawsuit against Davison for ripping people off by stealing money and ideas from unsuspecting "clients".
