The possible downside of yet another very convincing and plausible sales pitch thru numerous webinars, endorsed by any number of Internet marketing gurus. Nonetheless, I did my usual due diligence on D.C. Fawcett/Neighborhood Solutions, but because the program's relatively new, I didn't expect or find a lot of feedback.

Nagging doubts in the back of my mind have not gone away : why would D.C. Fawcett d/b/a Neighborhood Solutions need hefty upfront fees ($1,000) for a home study course or $10,000 for mentoring, if both have a money back guarantee with the first short sale closed ? Is that because there'll never be one closed ? Thru no fault of your own ?

Now I'm contesting a forced continuity program charge of $47 to my credit card ('gotta watch out for those, and I had my calendar marked !)

The verdict is still out, but tread carefully here. This could be the tip of a melting iceberg. I hope I'm wrong for other people's sake.

To be fair, I am pleased to report I was refunded the $47 charge I mentioned in my original post. It took about a week, but at least it happened. The lesson here is to closely look at the terms of any "free trial" or "$1 trials". Trial periods have a funny tendency to go by very quickly. Have your egg timer set as you approach the end of your trial period so you aren't swept into a program and its cost without reaffirming your specific permission or knowledge. "I didn't read the terms and conditions" is not a good defense for getting your money back. If you're going to cancel out of the program, do it several business days before the trial period's end, so you don't get blindsided by weekend or processing time technicalities.
