So I read earlier that you mention that if you were a scam why has no one taken you to court. Well I will refresh your memory a bit.....can I say Attorney General Jay Nixon! Did you forget that your company was sued and found guilty for misleading customers and not paying back there refunds!!! I laugh at you because your scam is going down. More people are realizing your scam. Karma is B*tch and you will recieve what you deserve. Remember this moment and realize that your scum and you will burn in hell!

Dealer Warranty Services is a legitimate business and is not in the practice of taking advantage of any consumer. The person from Indiana for some reason believes that offering him a opportunity to extend a warranty on his vehicle is a scam is unwarranted. If he has an existing factory warranty (typically 3 yrs or 36,000m) then he is covered and doesn't have a need and all he has to request is to be removed from DWS mailing list. Post cards are sent out to prespective customers through a mailing house and sometimes information is inaccurrate. But that doesn't make the product and or service bogus. Dealer Warranty Services does not make outbound phone calls. The only time a customer is contacted is in response to their interest in an extended warranty. I welcome this individual to call Dealer Warranty Services and speak with the General Manager concerning how he felt he was treated.

Tech, I am offended by your lack of truthful information that you so angrily post on this site. Please understand the importance of honesty and integrity of your words when you so readily deliver a judgement that effects other people's lives. However , I understand the difficulty of which that could be in the 'automotive repair business', which of course will be considered. The biggest misinformation /mistake you have made is comparing THIS company to any others in this industry. You have put forth so very much time , and energy to wrongly accuse Dealer Warranty Services of being deceptive when all you would have had to do was make one simple phone call , and you would have found Ted Conrad , the owner , not only answers the phone , he does ''anything and everything' to satisfy his customer, which includes handling refunds on his own personal credit card, I know this to be a fact , because I have seen the statements with my own eyes , when they come to our 1180 sq.ft house ,where our children were born and raised , where we have been for 21 years. I mention that because you seem so eager to want to take that away from me , in a frivilous and DECEITFUL litigation. My husband has worked his whole life for every single thing he has. He is the most likable , honest , hard working , honorable man YOU have never met. He left his 28 yr career in the tool and dye business to start this company. So that he could SELL A WARRANTY THAT HE WOULD SELL HIS MOTHER. Who he protected from DECEPTIVE AUTO REPAIR MECHANICS ,who RIP OFF elderly widows on a fixed income , of which I am certain YOU are not one .[?]because I would never compare you to hundreds of other dishonest techs. My husband deserves the same respect. THAT IS THE TRUTH. In our 26 years of marriage , he has worked on all our vehicles because we could not afford to risk a chance that SOMEONE IN THE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR BUSINESS WOULD RIP US OFF. We certainly would never entertain the thought of suing someone in order to make money, that we hadn't worked for ourselves, even though we may have had the opportunity. Dealer Warranty Services was established and is operated by the most honest man in the business. Dealer Warranty Services IS DIFFERENT FROM THE REST of the businesses in this industry , and we will never deny that. DEALER WARRANTY SERVICES is proud of their record with the BBB, and continue to readily work with BBB to resolve issues from someone like you who was given such misinformation to slander his reputation. , I notice you will not name your company that has 0 complaints. I pity you being without that same pride. Dealer Warranty Services IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE THEY DO GUARANTEE CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION. THAT IS THE TRUTH. This company has an impeccable reputation based on integrity and honesty, and will continue to thrive because of that .Yes , we are different. Dealer Warranty Services does the right thing and always will. Before you call some one a thief make sure you get your facts straight, and remember that everything that you say and do always come back to you, choose your angry words more carefully, you never know the far reaching effects on good people with families who you might hurt in your vile spew.

Let's set the record straight. To start off with, YOU are ASSUMING that I am a DEALER tech. WRONG AGAIN!! I work in an INDEPENDENT shop, where I see a lot more of the deceitful tactics of the "extended" warranty companies. You can spout off your rebuttals all you want & ask to compare BBB reports of your company as verses the company that I work for, BUT the company that I work for has ZERO (yes, thats ZERO) complaints filed on us & we have been in the same location, under the same name, since 1990! Now put that in your pipe & smoke it! You can NOT match that record! I have checked with our local BBB that we are a member of & there is NOT one extended warranty company that doesn't have MULTIPLE, UN-RESOLVED complaints against them. I rest my case & will NOT waste any more of my time replying to someone that is asinine enough to think that he can dis-credit the TRUTH!! Get a life, get a real job & stop ripping off the public, stop sending out your post cards & multi-page letters stating that the warranty has or is about to expire on brand NEW cars & trucks! How many people get SUCKERED into your mis-leading advertisements & pay you hard earned money for an extended warranty that they do NOT need? By the way, I still have the last "offer" that I can scan & post on here for everyone to see how it can be mis-leading. I have also forwarded a copy of it to the attorney general's office for investigation into misleading advertising.

"extended" third party warranties on new vehicles that or properly maintained by the owner are a waste of money. The purchaser would be better off placing the cost of such an extended warranty into a long term interest bearing account than purchasing the warranty. Go figure.

Considering there is not currently, nor has there ever been ANY sort of litigation or lawsuit brought on our company, then the original complaint is still not valid. It is clearly a different (or many different) companies, aside from the post-card we mailed him, that have mailed this person. But since ours was the one he had in hand it was automatically ASSUMED it was the same company. Some warranty companies are of course not on the up and up and that is a shame. But this company takes pride in its level of customer service and customer satisfaction, so there is no reason to group one company with a group of bad companies that do things like this.

Well Mr. Tech tell me if you work at a dealership how many people walk out your doors after buying a new car. How many of those people buy a long term extended warranty on top of their new car coverage ??????? Hmm well from what i hear alot of them so how are we worse than you BUD! So when you sell someone a 5yr plan its really only a 3yr plan we look to put extended coverage on vehicles out of coverage or almost out of coverage so just cause we sent you a post card and you have a new vehicle doesnt mean it has expired thats why it says is about to expire or has so come on you wanna bash us cause were not you. Thnx we appreciate it lets compare BBB records Mr Tech what company do you work for ! ! !

Hovus states that my post is unfounded, I have proof that will back up my claims. I have 5 customers that have been denied any repairs that are supposed to be covered under their extended warranty, all maintenance was up to date & very well documented, followed all rules as stated in the written contract to the letter!! DENIED!!!!!!!!! TOTAL refusal to cover any part of the failure that was supposed to be covered in the written warrany contract. I will be going to court for 3 of these customers, as they have taken my advice & are sueing this rip-off company. Furthermore, with 1 of these customers, they were told that they must remove their car from our shop at their expense, pay the diagnostic fee to our shop & have the car towed to the dealer, where the dealer repair shop would be paid to remove the engine, disassemble it & report the cause of failure. after doing exactly as instructed by the warranty company rep & the dealer reporting the SAME EXACT cause, the warranty was again DENIED & the customer then had to pay the $500 shop bill & have their car towed to their home with the engine in pieces & in the trunk of the car! Now...............would you want to pay $1800 to be screwed over like this????????? If so................then I pity you, because as sure as I am breathing....................it WILL happen to you too. You would be better off to take the money that the warranty would cost you & put it in a savings account to take care of car repairs. As far as his statement "all we did was send a small post-card.That specifically says, and I quote,'Your manufacturer's factory warranty has expired OR may be about to expire depending on your curreny mileage. Please contact us immediately to inquire about extending your warranty to prevent the unexpected cost of repair bills ." My truck has only 2500 miles on it!!!!! They have also mailed this "offer" to me 5 times in just 3 months, each time in bold letters that my time is about to run out & I'll soon be unable to buy any coverage. What a pity!!!!!!!!!! ROTFLMAO

This complaint about Dealer Warranty Services is completely unwarranted. The person who wrote that simply has nothing better to do than complain about random mail. There is a company out there that is calling everybody in the nation multiple times a day harrassing people, all we did was send a small post-card.That specifically says, and I quote,"Your manufacturer's factory warranty has expired OR may be about to expire depending on your curreny mileage. Please contact us immediately to inquire about extending your warranty to prevent the unexpected cost of repair bills ." The post card specifically says it is an OFFER to get an extended warranty, not a scare tactic. The person who wrote the original complaint said he works in the auto industry, so the only reason he doesnt like extended warranties is because he cant scare older people into buying new cars instead of just protecting the car they have now(so they can charge labor rates of $70-$110/hour). The dealers are not anybodies friend and will screw a customer faster than you can blink. And if you look up the BBB in your area you will ALMOST be guaranteed to see a car dealer(new or used) in the top 10 of complaints. Car salesmen and finance & insurance people at the dealer are the real crooks. They will take their low mile cars as a trade in(which they don't give them anything near what its worth with their mileage, because generally the customer doesnt know what the cars worth to begin with.)then they put them in a new car. They make commission off the new car sale, then they make even more money when they sell the trade-in vehicle for 2-3x what they gave the original owners for the trade-in. And as far as warranty policies we sell not covering claims, the only reason a claim gets denied is if the customer takes it in before the waiting period (30 days), or lack of maintenance , or the vehicle was already broken down when the policy was started. If people would do their maintenance and follow the instructions on how to file a claim, which is printed in BOLD print on the first 2 pages of every contract sold. So before you judge us, look at most other companies on the BBB. There are companies with hundreds or even thousands of complaints. If you actually did some research before you jump on the web to gripe about a postcard, you would see Dealer Warranty Services only has 17 complaints in 3 years. 16 of those complaints have been resolved with the customer and the BBB. The other complaint was acted on and the BBB said we made "a more than reasonable attempt" to rectify the problem but the customer was to stubborn to accept it. If you buy an extended warranty, from us or any other company, if you just read the terms of the warranty are very clear. Follow proper maintenance schedules, and follow claims then warranties are worth your cars weight in gold.
