DEBT BY DEBT SETTLEMENT SERVICES - BELLA FINANCIAL FRADULENT DEBT SERVICE ripoff Dallas Texas
In May 2006, we were approached by phone by a man named Doug Barker of Debt by Debt Settlement Services. He said that he could lower credit card bills by 70 percent. We beleived this to be true and signed with them. Of course we never were allowed to talk to him again and were directed to another person named Jesse Jordan , a very rude man. They were to take money from the bank to pay these credit cards off.
Well needless to say they did not pay one credit card off. They never even contacted one company. they took close to $ 5,000.00 from my bank and when we cancelled with them they took another payment after we cancelled. They threw my husband into collestions, arbitration, and litagation, and ruined his credit totally .
They sent us harrassing letters not even realizing what state we lived in. They said very degrading and terrible personal things. We found out from the Banking Commission that they were not liscensed in either Connecticut or Rhode Island to take monies from a bank for debt settlement purposes. They threatened to have us arrested by Connecticut Police and we live in Rhode Island.
This is how much effort they put into our case. The FBI told us we could call them at any time for our money , because they said that this was theivery. They're known as a chop shop. No credit card company would negoiate with them any ways. We contacted the Attorney General's office of Rhode Island and they contacted them where they as much as admitted guilt by saying that they would give us back $250.00 dollars , what a ripoff.
We now have to hire our own lawyer in Texas to go after them. This is a very costly propositon and we need help. Thank you for letting us write to you about this matter.
