I am one of several directors Christopher Deerfield :hired" to direct a film project written by Gary Raisor. Chris claims he has "millions" in the bank, and like most of his other claims, they could never be confirmed, or turned out to be completely fabricated.
After comparing notes with others, we found a pattern of behavior:
He would never confirm proof of funds.
He claimed he played with Neil Young and Crazy Horse as a musican, but there's no record of this ANYWHERE.
He claimed he had already negotiated a deal with a film stage in Virginia. The stage had never heard of him.
He claimed he "helped write the film tax incentives for the state of Wisconsin" They've never heard of him.
Several musicians he met in Chicago (where Chris lives) packed up and moved from Chicago to Las Vegas, to make an album with Chris. Chris was supposed to have been traveling with them, and was going to pay them a salary and all expenses with the move. The day they were supposed to leave, he "got held up" and never left. For over 30 days, he promised these guys he'd send them money, and never did.
Eventually, they left and headed home, after each of them blew several grand driving cross country for a gig that never existed.
With each of the directors, he was going to "fly them to meet him" and then either canceled at the last minute, or told them to "pay for a ticket" and he'd "reimburse" them. Having been duped before, none of the directors would do that.
it appears that Chris is interested in "playing bigshot" but doesn't have the funds (or isn't willing to spend the funds if he does have them.)
It is my opinion that Chris is a complete liar, and I wouldn't trust anything he says.

Christopher Deerfield is a complete liar and a thief. His Deer Fountain Productions LLC license has been permanently revoked by the State of Nevada. He claims to be a veteran of the Armed Forces. That is a lie, he never made through boot camp. He never played with Neil Young. Chris is a lousy guitar player. He has no money. His real name is Oscar Helmholtz Mier. He changed his name to Christopher Deerfield because people called him Oscar Mier Weiner. He is not associated with Sony at all. He lives off of his girlfriends retirement. He is just an ordinary bum.
He lives in Chicago. He never leaves his couch. He is too lazy to help his girlfriend with even going to the grocery store. She can't stand him either. He claims to be of Sicilian descent. But his real last name is Mier. That sounds German to me. He will rob you blind. Don't believe a word he tells you
