The agent asked me for my credit card info.  Told me no charges would be debited; it was only needed to secure the technician appointment, that's why the 3-digit security code wasn't neded.  A few days later, $104 was debited from account. 

I called ADT, thinking that was who I had made the agreement with; only to find out it was an authorized dealer; although they did not present themselves that way.  Not once did their real name "defenders" come up; only the name ADT.  So when I called the real ADT, I was shocked to find out I had agreed to do business with an imposter. 

I called "defenders" to speak with someone about getting my money back.  The first gentleman was very nice and was more than willing to help me.  He put me on hold for a long time and someone else ended up picking up the line. 

I explained my concern to this man and then he said he would be more than happy to assist me but he needed help completing the transaction and put me on hold for almost 10 minutes.  A third man answered the phone and guess what?  The second man had transferred me to the real ADT; I was no longer connected to "defenders". 

I explained my concern to ADT and they transferred me to the billing dept.  The young lady I spoke with decided to call "defenders" with me on the line.  The manager was super nice and very apologetic.  Again, we were put on hold for a long time. He came back stating that I would receive a refund in 7-10 business days. 

I received my reference number, which I had to ask for. The number was a number generated from a recent transaction; it was the same number I had been given last week to use if I had to call back to make changes to the request.  The billing agent and myself tried to question him about the number, but to our surprise, he hung up in our faces.

This company is a sham and not professional at all.  I have put an alert a out to my back so that if any additional charges are attempted, there will be legal action.  Luckily for me, my son is an attorney.  :-)

Had them for years! Never told me that they CC on file expired just kept charging me money even after I told them the system quit working. Horrible customer service!! Got a new service much cheaper and wonderful customer service.
