Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Although this hospital own't admit you without first checking your insurance coverage they will lie to get you to come for treatment. They will tell you up front that your insurance covers the stay and even write it on your admission papers but after the fact they will default on their agreement with you.

What this means is that you end up owing the thousands of dollars between what your insurance pays and what they bill them. So if you are a private pay or cash patient you will end up paying up to 50% more than Medicare or Medicaid patients and if you can't pay they will ruin your credit by reporting it.. This stays on your credit report for up to 7 years and is a breach of your confidentiallity but they don't care.. they go after the most vulnerable people in our society. (my little sister was a patient there).

Even if you have the coucmentation you can't get it removed and if you do a they will just report you again. Most hospitals in California agree to take private insurance as payment in full if it pays as much or more than medicare but not Del Amo. They go after your assets with a vegence. don't trust them.

Went to pick up my wife's medicine at Walgreens. She had given me her script. They asked me for her medical ins card. I didn't have it, so I asked them what the difference was. With the card the price for the msd was $37. With a copay of $20. Cost to me, $20, cost to ins co $17. If I paid cash, no ins, $23. Either way it was going to cost me $20-23. If ins paid the price for the med, was almost double. Something is wrong here. Here in San Antonio, a few years ago the cost for an EMS, city ambulance run was appox. $275. I asked them how they got to that figure based on the rate private companies, being less then half that. They told me since then only collect on about one out of five runs, those that do pay, pay for those that don't.
