Dell Computers Sold me a 64 bit dual core computer that cannot even habndle vista 64 bit Wasilla Internet
I bought an inspiron 531 from dell. The reason i bought a 64bit dual AMD processor was so i could run a 64 bit operating system.
So I went and bought the upgrade and tried to install it. Computer crashed, I called DELL for answers and they told me that the motherboard they sold me wasn't designed to handle the 64 bit architecture like they had advertised.
I tried just send it back , but DELL would only refund my money onto A DELL account. Basically If i didn't want that computer I would have to buy another DELL. So i finally said screw it after 2 weeks of countless hours talking to tech and customer service people in some far away country that I could hardly understand.
Then best of all.
The computer starts crashing randomly. Turns out the power suply in the box was only a 300W. The minimum power required to run the computer they sold me was 475W!
I'm running a dual core AMD 6000 64bit cpu, 4 x1 gig of 800mhz RAM a Readon 8600GT and 1 7500 rpm hard drive. These are just the basics and require more than 300w of power.
DO NOT BUY A DELL! They do not care if their systems are configured correctly. When I called in about the power supply, they told me there was nothing they could do because the machine "booted up" and hung up on me. [on accident of course while on hold]
