I lost my suitecase on Sept. 29, 2006 I was told by Delta to file a claim 5 days later which I did. When I called 30 days later to inquire about the claim I had faxes then on Oct.4, 2006 i was given the3 run around. they sent me $75.00 travel voucher whic I have no use for & assured me that my claim will be settled winthin 60 days.

I kept calling & was put on hold for over an hour every time. after leaving me on hold I was told to call the Corp. office, when i did I got voice mail, I left over a dozen messages & never heard a response. I called again in January 2007 & was told that its being processed.

I called again in March & was told they didnt have my claim. I refaxed it to them & have reciept that they recieved I also have proof they recieved my faxed claim in Oct. 2006.It's been over7 months & i still didnt recieved anything. my claim is only for $2880.00 i feel really cheated. I've been flying Delta for many years I never lost a suitecase before it's my first time ever. I was told they will reimburse me with in 60 days its been 7 months.

I was given the same run-around, and to add insult to injury, after 9 months of this BS, i finally received a letter from Delta saying that my claim was rejected because it took me 8 months to file a claim! This is complete nonsense, as I diligently followed up every month, faxed supporting documents not once but twice (I have confirmation reports for both instances), and even had CSR's tell me that they received my documents and that everything was under review.

What exactly was in one suitcase such that you are claiming $2,880?? This may be your problem right there, as Delta warns everyone in advance to NOT pack any valuables in your checked luggage. I hardly believe that your suitcase alone cost nearly 3 grand. Or did you lose your suitcase by forgetting it in the overhead bin? Your complaint is not really clear HOW your suitcase was lost, since you state several times: "I lose my suitcase." This leads one to question why Delta is responsible for the suitcase that YOU lost.
