Whether or not someone who wins an Ebay auction is technical or not is not an issue. As we understand this report, the issue is delivery time of the item this gentleman won on auction. The auction clearly states that UPS Ground is used for domestic shipping and to contact us for other shipping methods. A flat Shipping and handling fee is clearly listed under the Shipping and Payment Details section of the auction page. Our hours of operation are 9:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We are closed on weekends and holidays. If an auction closes on a Friday evening, we do not begin processing the order until Monday morning. Also, we cannot ship an item until that item is paid for. When we receive a credit card order we do not ship the item until the credit card is accepted. Also, shipping is delayed when the shipping method and shipping fees are being disputed. This particular auction was won on July 12, 2003. The credit card was not accepted until July 18, 2003. The buyer also disputed the shipping charges even though by bidding on the auction he had accepted the charges as set forth in the auction. The time it took for the credit card to be accepted and to resolve the shipping charge dispute were factors, which delayed shipping. The distance between the point of origin and the destination must also be taken into account. We are located in Illinois; the buyer is located in Louisiana. As stated earlier, we ship UPS Ground. It may very well take longer than two days to get from Illinois to Louisiana. We would have used a faster shipping method if we had been made aware that this is what the buyer wished and if the buyer had paid for the faster method. In regards to the Bait and Switch statement, we can honestly say that we do not know what this buyer is referring to as all the emails we received from him referred to shipping.
