I recently purchased a Dental Plan through Aetna. I purchased it on 1/17/05 and was provided a list of providers. I contacted one who set up an appointment a week later. Then the dentist canceled cause the Dr. was sick. Then the call and inform me that they don't take Aetna Dental Access Plan. So I call another dentist and ask and they say Yes. So I go there today 2/3/05 and was told by the receptionist NO they don't take that plan. Frustrated at this point with a tooth that is causing some serious pain I go home and look on the website. 43 providers are listed. Out of the 43 most are duplicative non existant dentists or no working telephone #'s. The ones I did get ahold of don't accept the plan. 2 said they did but don't have appointments till May.

I called Dental Plans.com at their membership number 888-632-5353 and was told that I didn't cancel within 3 days so therefore I'm not entitled to a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor of which she responded by saying " FU " and hung up on me. I've found that 40 out of the 43 dentists listed or ones that actually had a working # did not take the plan. I can't get an appointment and these jerks ripped me off for $149.00 of which they refuse to refund. Called the corporate # and was given a voicemail to leave a message.

I've called and made repeated attempts to get Member services to correct this problem to no avail.
