BEWARE! Dr. Nina Gray makes false diagnosis for money. She falsely diagnosed me with NINE cavities, when I actually only had ONE and one cracked tooth. She gave me a quote of $4,400, when the work really needed only cost $900. Read the details below:

I got a check-up from Dr. Nina Gray in February 2009. She took x-rays and showed me video of my teeth, while very nicely informing me I had NINE cavities and needed $4,400 worth of work done (BEYOND what my insurance would pay). She told me I needed to get my teeth cleaned more often, get a complete mouth debridement, and that that would help avoid future cavities. I had a red flag go up because I have ALWAYS had good dental hygiene and only have 3 permanent molar cavities at the age of 42. I told her I would come back in an hour after reviewing my what my insurance covers. When I went back an hour later, I asked for a copy of the diagnosis, and they wouldn't give it to me. But while they helped another person at the desk, I wrote down the teeth numbers and the diagnosis for each from my chart that was sitting on the desk in front of me. I asked Dr. Gray to prioritize the work, and she told me about two specific teeth, and which one to work on first, and then said we could spread the other work out.

I switched dentists because I didn't have a good feeling and didn't trust Dr. Gray. In April 2009 I went to Dr. Tina Ghotanian who examined my mouth and the SAME x-rays that Dr. Nina Gray had taken in February. Dr. Ghotanian nicely told me I had excellent dental hygiene and ONE cavity and a cracked tooth, and she gave me a quote of $900. It turns out the two teeth I needed work done on are the two that Dr. Gray "prioritized" for me, while still intending to put fillings in SEVEN teeth that are completely healthy.

I'm so glad I trusted my instincts. I hope this will help others. Dr. Gray should be stopped.

Sincerely,
