On 7/20/09 I received a phone call from a man with a sever accent that called himself Officer Jeff Austin from the Department of Law and Investigation. He stated that I failed to repay a payday loan from a company called CASHNET. I don't recall ever obtaining a payday loan from CASHNET. This person went on to say that they were filing three counts of bank fraud against me. He then told me to write down a case number. He went on to explain that if I sent him via fax my credit card information that he could settle this out of court for $900. This made me very suspicious since I don't recall ever having the loan and was amazed that someone would ask me to send them my credit card information.
On 7/22/09 I called the phone number I was given and asked for some additional information. I requested the phone number of CASHNET and was told that I could not have that information and then he hung up on me. I immediatly called back and spoke with a man with the same accent that called himself Dennis Richards. He stated he was an attorney. I asked him for the address for the Department of Law and Investigation and he hung up on me. I made a third call and spoke with Officer Jeff Austin (by they way both voices, Jeff Austin and Dennis Richards, sounded like the same person) and told him that I needed a physical address because I was going to speak with an attorney and was going to file a complaint against his company. At that point he became very upset and said they would send a Investigator to my house. I told him that if any further communications were made to me I would file a law suit. He said they would be calling my employer to notify them that I am under investigation and then hung up the phone. I attempted to call him back three times withing 10 minutes and only received a busy signal.

Eagle Eye in Charlotte NC has nothing to do with these scam artists. Had you contacted Eagle Eye you would have learned this and perhaps you would not have displayed our web site and company information. We are an honest, licensed investigative agency and not working with/for or in conjunction with the payday loan scammers.

On 07/22/09 I made a fourth attempt to obtain informtion from this company. I asked for their email address. I was given a email address that was actually a web site. The web address I was given was: www.eagleyenc.com. This web site is for a company called Eagly Eye Detective Agency & Associates. Their address is: Eagle Eye Detective Agency & Associates Suite 110 1409 East Blvd. Charlotte NC 28203
