Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have received several calls from a 512-394-4902 and a 213-283-8557 number. They have been calling me at work and harassing me. They call my cell phone as well. They claim to be "officers" of the Dept of Law and Investigation. They claim I owe money on a cash advance I took online... however I do not nor have I taken any online cash advances or any advances at all.

I have asked them several times to stop calling me at work it is harassment.. They have threatened to come to my work and "arrest me". I have also sent an email to my local police dept. I cannot have these people calling my work.. it is harassment and I do not know how to make it stop. They have used foul language when dealing with me and they always have Indian accents but claim to be calling from America. I need help and I need this to stop. Can any one help me. Give me advice. Anything this has been going on for months.

Don't be afraid of what they tell you. Remember to tell them that they should stop calling you because it is illegal to do so. You should also ask for who their employer is and what their name. Tell them that if they still persist (keep calling), you will pursue a law suit against their company regarding the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act

(http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf). Read the PDF file on the page 7-13 (especially page 9). The definition of terms is on page 4~6 if you are not sure who "debt collector" or "creditor" is.
