Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I live in a condo and wanted to have an awning installed.  I had to go with one that the condo association to get one that was approved by them.  They contacted the manufacturer and were given Detroit Awnings - Bob Anderson as their local distributor.

I met with Bob along with three members of the association and place an order for the awning.  Bob told me it would take 4 to six weeks for manufacture and installation.  He also told me I had to pay the full amount as it was a custom size.  He then charged $5.100 to my charge card on the same day.

About five weeks later, I started calling him for a status.  I left several messages prior to him returning my call.  I also contacted the president of the condo association and told him that I was concerned about this company.   When Bob did return my call, he claimed it was only four weeks and that he would be calling me to set up the installation as soon as the awning came in.  A week later I called him again.  This time he told me that I was being "nothing but rude" and that the president of the association had also been complaining to him.

I didn't want to talk to Bob again, so couple of weeks later, on a Monday, I called the president of the association. He told me that he had spoken with Bob and that the awning would be shipping that Friday.  I waited until the Thursday of the following week before I called the president of the association again.  At that time he told me that when he had spoken to Bob the previous week,  Bob had offered to give me a refund and that he would be calling me as soon as they got off the phone.

Bob never called me. At this time, the president of the association gave me the name of the manufacturer.  Up until this time, all I knew was Detroit Awnings, Bob Anderson.

I contacted the manufacturer that Thursday and was told that they were holding the order, that there was some issue, something about I had cancelled the order because I found an cheaper awning and that I never paid Detroit Awnings.  None of this was true.

I then contacted the credit card company and filed a dispute.  Also, my son, an attorney called me while this was going on.  When I told him what was happening, he asked for Bob's number. When Bob called him back, and my son asked him what was going on with my awning, Bob hung up.  He then proceeded to text my son with the message starting off with F_ _ _  Y _ _.  He then went on to write more lies.

My son forwarded me the messages for proof of the dispicable person this man is.
