A sales manager for Devcon Security showed up on my door step and stated that I was chosen as an advertisement home (which I later found out after I researched this company they tell this to everyone). He made promises of all this modern equipment but once he started the presentation none of it was available according to him. The only thing that he offered was a glass brake sensor, 2 pannels & a motion dectector that will take pictures (according to reviews that is all they offer to everyone). It had been about 30 to 40 minutes into his presentation and the next thing I know an installer rings my door bell. I had no idea they were going to install the system that day. At the very end of the paper work he tells me about a $99 dollar installation fee now keep in mind the system was already being installed when he told me this part.  So, at this point what do you do. He did not go over the cancellation options or anything after his presenation and after I had signed the contract he picked up and left. The installer was left behind asking me where to put the sensors. I told the installer I would think that you would know where to put them. Well, after a few questions I find out that this installer had only been doing this for two months so it was apparent he had no idea what to do. After he left I went on to the internet and googled Devcon Security complaints and OMG there was tons of complaints and in the months of June & July. As I read some of the complaints it was the same story where the guy shows up and then immedately a installer shows up. I started making phone calls and was getting the run around from the company finally after the 3rd person I was told about the cancellation policy at the bottom of the contract. I filled it out and tried to fax it to the number given but there was no answer. I tried to scan it and email it but no response. When I called the company on the next business day of course they claimed that they did not receive it and they turn their fax machine off at the end of the work day (go figure). I had to ask the representative to stay on the phone while I faxed it again. Finally it was received and they scheduled someone to come out and get it. Side note they did not tell me that if they install the system they would not fix the hole in my wall or reconnect the alarm panel that they removed. So, now I have this cheap white looking wall plate in the middle of my wall with black screws in it. I also had to put a stop payment on my account after I read the other reviews stating that they took their money and told them they would not return it until they get there equipment back. So, please buyer beware stay away from this company. I hate that I allowed them into my home and did not get a chance to do my homework first. It all happen so fast and it is a rip off. I hope this helps the next person.
