brunswick,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Tue, May 10, 2011
Firstly Donald Hough is an ex-employee of Mastec corporation, aka an installation subsidiary of Directv, I have Directv in my home and have much respect for Directv, their equipment and heir quality trained staff. Donald Hough on the other hand is a CON ARTIST in every respect of the term. I worked for him for about three months back in 08, was paid only a small fraction of what he owed me, and that was only because, like you, paying nearly 5 dollars a gallon for gas, could no longer travel from
Brunswick Ga., to Jacksonville Fla. (90 plus miles) one way. What made me realize he was a crook was the day I rode with him to a job, (3 story medical building) and he was asking $600 dollars for the install and the Administrator of the business told him he was out of his mind.
On the way back to Brunswick, he got a call and I will never forget him telling the poor tech. on the other end of the phone that he would have his mother take him some gas because he had run out, because he would not pay him. He owes me a lot of money, and I am sure your boyfriend signed the "contract" that Donald either faxed or emailed him. He thinks this will cover him, it will not, because slavery was outlawed long ago. Get in touch with me or put your e-mail/phone number here so we can
make sure this fraud is in jail where he belongs.
Please note , When I put him on rip off report, He knew immediately the next day, as I also reported him to the better business bureau. So he does read these things, but I have a complete record of all jobs that I did for him and corresponding e-mails on disc. One other thing, here is how is scam works:
1) He puts an ad in usually a Jacksonville newspaper
2) A satellite tech responds
3) He tells them all about how much money they will make....blah blah blah
4) Tech works and works and works, until they are out of money,
5) He tells tech "I havent been paid by the company yet, just keep working"
6) Finally tech has enough and wants his money, you may get a little gas money.........
7) Tech finally quits, Calls him, (good luck gettin him on the phone) and wants the money
he is owed. He tells tech he has to work for two more weeks (as per the contract I signed) and
if you refuse to work two more weeks , he tells you that you have failed to live up to your end
of the bargain and totally refuses to pay you on the grounds that jobs have been scheduled
to you and he has lost money, therefore the money owed you is now zero.
8) Now he has just lost a tech yet made a ton of money because you the tech got very little or
none at all.
9) He starts his scam all over again by putting up a new in usually in a Jacksonville, Fla. paper
and soon a new sucker calls him and goes thru the whole scam all over again.
He has been doin this at least 3 years and I am pretty sure a lot longer than that, back when he got me all of the satellite equipment was mailed directly to the customer, so , on top of ripping off his employees , he had no overhead, and then I saw him one day take a set of HDMI cables out of a customers satellite receiver box, (outside , out of sight of the customer)
then go back in and tell the customer his needed a set of HDMI cables in order to hook up his system, and proceed to sell the HDMI cables back to the customer for $100.00 dollars !!!!
He expected all of his techs to do this a lot of other sleazy things because he knew if you were making a lot of money by ripping of customers, then you would not be hounding him for the money he owed you. His daddy is a lawyer (so he says) and his mommy (true) works in the office. I am quite confident they all know they are committing fraud which is a felony. I do not know if Directv is aware of his lying deceitful ways, but maybe a little bad publicity will go a long way. Lastly he can be reported to the Attorney General of Florida and easily sent to prison for his fraud. Get with me and lets stop this crook and I personally want to see him sent to prison for a long long time.
