Chris... your grudge is not with Mr. Kay, but with the company that hired him to do their collections. Ever heard the phrase "don't shoot the messenger?" It's easy in a wrongful-collections matter to get mad at the lawyer who is pursuing you, but if he were to accpet your word against the word of the company he represents he wouldn't be a very good lawyer, would he? Would you want him to represent you in any matter knowing that he won't pursue it if there is a possibility that you are wrong? This is not to say that you aren't being "ripped off" and that you shouldn't pursue this issue, by all means, pursue it until the bitter end! Just make sure you actually know who is screwing you, and don't waste your efforts on a fruitless venture.
