Anytime you make a payment with Directv that credit card is held on file and they have the right to collect their money when it's owed to them. That is how they are protected from dead-beats who won't pay their bill or try to steal their merchandise by returning it.

Here is my rebuttal to a rebuttal. If you make a payment with someone else card. dtv will automaticly, save it on file. I you said I am making a payment for my daughter, and I am using my card, the agent should have made notes on the account. So here what you need to do e-mail the office of the president, and ask to see all notes on the account.

If your daughter paid w/ your card and she consented to placing it on file, then that's why that happened. We don't retain the info. We ask for a card on file if their service is completely cutoff and are reinstating and when they are first coming to directv. If you live at the same address as your daughter and/or she used your card to pay the bill w/in 90 days of you filing your complaint, that's why your not entitled to a refund. But it's not a ripoff. In section 5E of your daughters cust agreement, it says if she has services, she has to place a card on file. If she goes delinquent, we draft that card to help prevent it from going to collections.

Did you tell your bank it was not authorized and you wished to get your money back? If not, I suggested you read on this site how to get your money back into your bank account. This may not help you right away but I would also contact the Attorney General in your state and the state where DirecTV's corporate office is located. Good luck.
