Living in a remote location, we subscribed to Direcway as satellite is the only means of getting broadband out here at the moment. When this works it is pretty good, however if you need any kind of customer service, your're in trouble straightaway with these people!

Customer Service calls are routed to India where you will get to speak with someone reading from a script, and without any kind of techical knowledge at all. Once you become totally frustrated with the third-world technical experience they will transfer you to "Advanced Technical Support' in Florida - this will first however involve waiting on hold for a period best measured in hours rather than minutes.

Their installers are all pretty unreliable, and will more than likely not turn up at the agreed time. Expect to wait up to two weeks before seeing anyone. If they promise to call you back, they probably won't. From my experience, e-mails just receive an automatic response and then get deleted.

If you can get broadband through your cable or telephone company don't even think about satellite - it is slower, more expensive and not very realiable. If like us however, you have no alternative, and are willing to pay $60 per month and take your chances with their crappy customer service try Direcway!

Hopefully we will have cable before too long and will be able to switch to RoadRunner and dump these clowns....
