Dish Network upgrade scam Benton Arkansas
I have been a customer of dish for almost 8 years and had never had any trouble other than the price goes up after you term ends. but around in oct of 2008 i got a letter from them stating i could up grade to a new hd dvr for under 25.00 . So i call the 800 # to set up an appt. they set the appt for the 8th of nov never show then i was told the coupon was no good . at least for an exiting customer and i told them that didnt make any sence how can you upgrade if you dont have anything to upgrade and i was a customer and the letter was addresed to me.
So i went along with it but they gave me a so called discount 50.00 then the installer called told me he was at my house i said im at work but could take off be there in 10 min . he said ok and by the way it was the 15 nov. never showed for the 8th then when i got to my house he was not there i called the 800 # told them he was not here and they told me they had already came and installed .
i told them it never happened. then they wanted to set another appt so i said ok but this time they wanted 100.00 more for the equipment. i told them i would not pay for it it should only cost 25.00 and i just wanted them to get there stuff because i didnt wanted to deal with a company that cant keep appts and be honest .
so i went with direct tv and was caqlled to be told i would have to pay 95.00 for the rest of my contract . i was with them for 1 year and 2 months at this addtress. man want a pain in the behind this went on four month almost 4 times a week on phone missed 3 days of work which i work on comm. hair stylist . and lots of min on cell phone... thanks abbey
