Dish Network Dish Net I run out of internet usage every single month with Dish net and I pay for the top package Internet Nationwide
I have used Dish network for there satellite services for years now and I have been completely satisfied with there services. A few years ago I signed up for the Internet service they offered through Wild Blue. I subscribed to the top package wild blue offered and I never ran out of Internet usage at all.
I called Dish network to inquire about up grading my Internet service and was told that they could upgrade my service from wild blue to dish net. I would be getting all new equipment and my Internet speeds would be a lot faster. So of course I agreed and had them come out to install all the new equipment and I signed up for the top Internet package they offered.
After a few months of great service I noticed my Internet became extremely slow, like dial up slow ! So I called dish network to see what the problem was and I was informed I had used up all my usage for the month and my usage would renew on the 25th of every month. Now mind you, there is only 3 people in my home, Me, my husband and my son and our computer using habits had not changed at all from when we had wild blue to us changing to dsh net. So I was very surprised that we had used up all our usage.
i decided from that point that we needed to all cut back on our computer time , which we did. But still month after month we ran out of usage. On the 25th of every month I expected my usage to renew and when that didn't happen on the 25th one month I called dish network to inform them that my computer usage had not been renewed and today is the 25th. They informed me that my usage didn't renew until the 1st of every month. The person I talked to on the phone knew nothing about my usage renewing on the 25th. I was shocked and couldn't believe what I was hearing. Every single month like clockwork my usage renewed on the 25th since I had signed up for dish net. Now all of a sudden out of the blue it's changed until the 1st of every month.
My family doesn't download movies or music or anything like that that would eat up our usage every month. All we do is get on Facebook , check email and surf the web. There is no reason we should be running out of our usage every month, and the bad part is I have the highest package already so there is not an upgrade I can do to solve my problem. I spoke to someone at dish net the last time I called about this problem and I was told that I'm not the only person with this problem. He said 90% of dish net customers run out of usage every single month just like I do. He said the minority are the people that don't run out of usage each month.

what is dishnet
dishnet is any internet service that dish network sells you. it can and will be different depending on where you live. There are indeed 2 satelite internet companies both tied to dish. Wildblue and Hughesnet are both outdated services while exede (wild blue) and Gen4 (hughesnet) are the upgraded versions of these services. Dish owns Hughes and contracts instalations for Wildblue. If you have Dishnet you have either one of these four types of sat internet or DSL through the company Dish partners with localy.
Which is better? hard to say. Obviously the older wildblue and Hughesnet are very archaic and barely a step above dialup, while the newer services can compare to DSL service as it existed about a decade ago. I have Gen4 currently and it is the second worst service I have had in my life, with Wildblue being the worst.
Why do I have it? Because there is nothing else and I have no choices where I live. This would be acceptable if it weren't for the price. I find it very hard to swallow watching commercials for this product because they have the gall to call it broadband. It is slightly quicker than 512 DSL but your usage in an average household will be gone in under a week and you will be throttled to dialup service equivalent speeds.
Still, if it is all you can get, then it is better than nothing. I only think the price shopuld match the service. $20 per month at the MOST.

Dish Network ( For TV) and Dish Net (For internet) are two different conpanys. Now the Scam is That the Dish they put up says DISH NET on it , You pay Dish every month, But the Service is From HUGHES NET!
They are the leading Satellite internet Provider & RIP OFF COMPANY In The USA! I Know because I had them for almost 7 years.
They have such a BAD Reputation That they Hide behind A company with a fairly good reputation like Dish Network & also Frontier CommunicationsThey are the phone company in some areas but it is the same scam as Dish is in on. They have their name frontier on the satellite dish but the 'Service" is From HUGHES NET Or now they have a new Rip off going on & they Call them selves GEN 4 (Still HUGHES NET)
Also If you sign up straight to HUGHES NET They will tell you that you can down load all you want from 2 am- 7am...That is right, But If you sign up throught Dish Net or Frontier Communications -they will tell you you can down load 10 free gb from 2am- till 7am but they Forget to tell you that that "Free" 10 GB is for the Whole month!
10 Gb is NOTHING & look at what you are paying! ...I think this is a straight up scam for Dish Net & Frontier communications to be Letting these Hughes Net crooks hide behind the name of a company's that everyone trust!
They DID NOT Get to me Like the last time, Because I have Learnd that There are only TWO Satellite Companys 1. HUGHES NET( Gen 4) & Wild blue ( Exede) These "spin off" companys Gen 4 & Exede were paid for by Our Governmet under " The Recovery Act" and HUGHES NET is useing their " CUT" to Rip off more un suspecting Customers!....I Know they have you in a two year contract & it will cost you to get rid of the crooks, But no matter how much you pay them they are going to keep working you every month for MORE!!

Go to Wildblue( Exede) That is who I have now But I am still not 100 % happy with them but they are WAY Better That The HUGHES NET CROOKS.........Look up HUGHES NET or GEN 4 on this site & you will see the same complaints that you have.....Oh & you Might ask DISH NET WHY they are hideing The HUGHES NET CROOKS Behind Their name & Scaming People???
