I have been a customer or Dish for over 10 years and have experienced price increases each year. Approximately 1 year ago I called to disconnect my service as I felt it was no longer a good value for the money. At that time I was offered discounts to retain my business. I have the Top 200 with 3 TVs, no premium channels and my bill was increased  100% in just this last month (increased from $45 per month to $90 per month). I have called the retention department and spoke with an Ivan Magdaleno (720-514-8555 ext 80579) and another retention agent by the name of Luis (agent sign X4W). The only resolution they are willing to give is reducing my programming to lower the cost (which would be their very lowest package and no local channels) even at that the cost of their service would be over $50.00, and the company no longer gives discounts to retain customers.  When I requested to speak with the customer service manager, Megan Roschelli, I was told by 1 agent she was out of the office and expected to return the following day. I was also told by 2 other agents there was no such person in the Dish network. I finally verified she is in fact a manager however will not take any calls. Dish network has no idea what customer service is, and should be renamed customer disservice department. My last conversation with a representative stated that I am in fact under contract and if I do choose to disconnect, I will be charged a penalty and early disconnect fee. When I questioned if I am in fact under contract, how can Dish arbitrarily increase my bill 100%, if I am under contract does that not protect me as a consumer during the duration of that contract to prevent such increases? I believe their business practices are dishonest, misrepresented, deceitful and bordering on being illegal. The last customer disservice representative took my name and number and stated someone would call me back within 48 hours. Well it now been almost a week and I have not received a call. Do yourself a favor if thinking of employing Dish Network and spend your money with a company that actually appreciates your business and longevity.  Dish could care less if you are a customer and makes you jump thru too many hoops. You are nothing but an insignificant cog in their big machine. There are too many other places you can spend your money.
