Dish Employees 6 and 7, Dont need your help I already RESOLVED my issues with Dish, no need to pretend you could Fix the way Dish treats their Customers. Folks I am telling you the only way to deal with Dish is to continue to Report them to Helping Agencies, your Local News, Write their CEO, Read their contract before signing on with them, Change your Credit or Debit card, I know it is Extreme but it works. Dish Network settled a lawsuit for 5 Million Dollars in 2004 due to the fact they had not disclosed termination fees to potential customers and had debited customers bank accounts for hidden fees. So read the fine print before you sign the dotted line!!

Dont despair what I did to Dish I filed a complaint thru the BBB, and wrote their corporate office demanding that they send labels and not charge my account, I also told them that I was willing to contact my local news. Also I changed my debit card, and at the end of the day it was all worth it. Once you take control they no loger can dangle "a carrot over your head"

Hi, I too am having the same issue with Dish and after I cancelled ( because they are terrible in many ways) they tell me they will still charge my debit card. I told them I did not have that money but will gladly write a check if they send me a bill.
It's been a week and I am waiting on the so called boxes to return THEIR equipment, which they have the nerve to charge the customer for, and no bill.
if anyone knows how to get this issue straight with Dish then please let me know .

Dish tried that baloney on me, said they were going to debit my checking account if I used their labels, I immediately changed my account, filed several complaints against them through Goverment Helping Agencies, then called their coroporate office who supposedly will not debit my account [Like I trust their word!]

Hello sir. I am writing in response to your response about this mess that I have encountered with Dish. I don't know what your position is, but I am very dissatisfied with the way they have done me. I called them after they took that $150.00 out of my checking account. They told me that when you upgrade the equipment, the contract starts all over again. In my opinion this is a deceptive business tactic. I asked them for a copy of my contract when I called them, so I could see this for myself, and they said that because I had cancelled service with them, they no longer had the original contract on file. This is not right.
If that is the case, it is null, and void, and I want my $150.00 back.
The deal with the boxes is not an address issue. It is a someone didn't get off their a*s and send them issue. The address on the labels was correct, however they conveniently left out the part of the deal that I had to pay for the shipping... $34.00 added on to the total of the final bill...which I was told is "pro rated." To be honest, they did finally agree to take the $34.00 off, so they say. Also, they refuse to remove my bank info, from this "closed" account.
I am afraid that I am going to have to close my account and get a new one, or risk being sucked dry from them again next month. The equipment was not damaged at all when I sent it back. I do not even smoke, so it was nice, and clean. I even had my son get the part that goes on the actual dish, and we put that in there, along with the remotes and the remote cards. If I made 6 figures, it would not matter, but I am on a fixed income, and I can't afford this. Shame on Dish. If you would like to contact me in regards to this matter, send me your contact info to my personal email... (((email redacted))). Thank you for your time in regards to this matter.

confederatelady2,
I came across your post and found it interesting! I'd be happy to help with that! I understand that you've canceled your service with us and was curious as to what exactly was going on with it. If you could fill me in on some of the details so I can gain a good picture, that would be appreciated.
I apologize for any confusion with the early termination and unreturned equipment fees. What I would have to do is look over your account to see how I can get that resolved.
As far as the boxes getting to you so that you could return the equipment, what exactly turned out not to be true about what you were advised? Regarding the delay, were they sent to the correct address initially? If so, please keep in mind that we have no control over the shipment once it's been sent off. Given that, I'd still be happy to look at your account to see what I can do about any charges.
Please let me know about some of this information as I would enjoy the opportunity to assist you in getting all this squared away!
