I also was suckered into the "at no cost to you" and then the false advertising,,,

When i called to have my service turned on, i told them i wanted the advertisment deal i seen on tv..the over 60 channels with paused f.forward,,and rewind live t.v with free HBO and SHOWTIME,,,for 19.99 for three months,,,

Well,,first they said i had a problem with my credit,,,then they made me buy the equipment outright on my credit card, $150.00,,,

then the installation guy didnt show up until almost 7:00 pm after calling at noon to tell me he was on his way! then when i tryed to use my equipment,,like pausing live tv.. it wouldnt work,, so i called and they sent another installer and he said ,,you have the wrong box,,i asked could you go get the right box?

he said it was "like $10.00 more" and i would have to call the office myself,, i did this,,only to find out that i still was not eligible for that offer,,AFTER they took my $150.00 credit payment and had the wrong stuff installed already,,,

I also received my first bill approximately 2 to 3 wks after instalation,,,I received a bill for $62.92!!!

i have called them over 2 dozen times on this matter and i still have the same equipment same wrong service and a monthly large bill,,,,WITH NONE OF THE TV ADVERTISED BONUSES!!!

several diff. execuses from them,,but one that really got me was one of the employees told me to "read the fine print on the commercial" I HAVE IT ON TAPE,,THERE IS NO FINE PRINT!!

I can see how you newer customers are feeling. After discovering this website my views stayed unchanged, until last week! I have been with Dish for 7 years, always recieved awesome customer service and great responses. Last week a mysterious box arrived on my porch. It contained a note from Dish stating to return my equipment immediately. Confused, I called Dish and low and behold (no offense to folks of Indian decent) they've moved their Customer Service to India. I inquired about the box and they stated I had a reciever not in use and to return it right away. I argued with this lady and got put on hold at least 6 times. My original account states that I lease 2 rcv'ers, during this time I purchased another from a private party. Yes I wasn't using one of leased rcv'ers but HEY I'm still paying for it on my bill somewhere! Then the lady told me the one I purchased wasn't mine and it was a leased unit, I exploded. After another 15min. hold she then stated it was mine and asked how much I paid for it. My response, "That's none of your or Dish's business, plus I called to ensure the rcv'er was free and clear prior to purchase, try again!" Like I stated I've been with the company since the beginning, but they've screwed their customers by subsudizing and trying to save a buck!
