Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We only wanted a fair deal from their used car lease returns department in October, a Sienna minivan. That vehicle sold to someone else despite our $200 deposit being charged to our Visa card. I ended in a 2014 Caravan lease instead, which was uncomfortable to drive (the driver seat was manual adjust - can you believe it !) and asked on two occasions for help from our salesperson. We were lead to believe the EZ lease allowed us that latitude - wrong. We finally got to the manager level and after getting no satisfaction ( they basically lectured us and made us feel somehow at fault for being dissatisfied ! Amazing !) we took a $7000 loss ( plus the $3100 down payment I made) trading out of the Caravan. We gave D&M a third chance to help us again look at a used Expedition, and it was delivered to us for a test drive on an almost empty tank, chips in the windshield, severely worn tires, and a bad interior smell and dog hair. Just a slap in the face, nothing less, was our impression of their customer service. We were told we had to decide quickly (another of their high pressure "We can only hold your deposit for 2 days" type of sales tactics) and we declined.. We called the BBB and filed a complaint, it went nowhere. We filed a negative review through DealerRater.com and our comments were deleted from their website because they said they are friends with someone at D&M Leasing. They refused to honor their EZ Lease agreement, which stated if at anytime we were unhappy, all we had to do was call and they'd get us into a vehicle that worked for us. Not the case, their sales dept ignored our requests and their sales managers tried to intimidate us with language intimating that somehow I was at fault.

Thank you for alerting me to your situation. Since there is no identifying info in your report I have not been able to review your file. Please accept my apology for the trouble you have had and any miscommunication that may have occurred. With over a hundred agents and managers and just under a thousand transactions a month we are not immune to an occasional slip up. However I do have some information that might help and will send my contact information so you can reach out to me personally. I will do whatever is reasonbly possible to help you. Generally we do a good job for our clients. We have been in business over 35 years and sixty to seventy percent of our business is repeat and referral. But, that doesn't make this situation better.

The vehicles you selected from our lease return inventory for lease ended up not being suitable for one reason or another. Our inventory is primarily one owner lease returns or lease trades and have been very well maintained. We do not have a service department but we try to present only what we believe to be the best units for sale. Since I do not have your file I am not sure of your financial arrangements or claim about the loss on your trade. If you would contact me directly I will research that and try to help.

With regard to the EZ Lease, we advertise the benefits on the radio on our web site, etc. The EZ Lease is by definition a lease contract, not a separate agreement. Your EZ lease is based on simple interest with market driven lease end values, and no early termination penalties. The leases are owned by D&M and serviced locally. This lease is designed to give our clients more flexibility, future lease benefits and better service overall. Nowhere in the lease contract, in our literature or advertising does it say if you are unhappy you can call us and we will get you another vehicle. Any finance contract has legal and financial content which determine future obligations from both sides. Ours is far less onerous than most.

Having said that I have our management looking into your claim and I hope to get enough information to reach out to you in the near future. If you would prefer to call me my direct line is 817-461-8888 x205. I appreciate the opportunity to help and also your past business with D&M.
