I paid $2775 for a broken copier. They assured me that it would be a minor repair to this copier and asked that I have a Canon Service Center come and dust it out or do some minor adjustments.

When I informed them that the machine was still not working, they asked me to have another tech come out before they would even consider returning it. The bill for the first visit was $289 and they were unable to fix it. They also said that that Ameritech Canon service center should not be paid which I felt was very unprofessional.

So I did have the second Canon Service Company IKON come out on three occasions to find out in the end that it was broken beyond repair and that bill was $875.00 which once again they did not think should be paid.

In the end They did offer me $600.00 to keep my broken machine. They also were verbally abuse of.

Here is his response...

You can tell you're So called Lawyer Jeff Titus now that you left negative feedback we will uphold our 10 day return policy and the machine is now yours and no returns will be allowed. Feel free to have Mr. Titus give me a call direct as no more emails will be returned.

Here is my attorney letter to him...

Dear Mr. Swaw:

On October 8, 2004, I sent your office a letter requesting that you resolve the problem related to the Cannon color copier model 1150. As you may recall, my client, Flush-Cut, Inc. purchased the copier on e-Bay. After repeated attempts to repair the copier, which did not function on its arrival, we requested that you take the copier back and refund our money. I assume you have chosen not to respond to our request. Therefore, please be advised we have no choice but to retain an attorney in Addison, Illinois, to begin litigation. In addition, we will be notifying every conceivable agency regarding your lack of attention to this matter. My client is extremely disappointed in the lack of attention provided by your office. This is especially difficult for a small company. I will be forwarding a copy of this e-mail and documentation to Meg Whitman, the CEO of e-Bay.

Very truly yours,

Jeffrey A. Titus

Here is Ikon's findings...

Rebecca;

Sorry about the delay in response, my email has been down all week. regarding the Canon 1150, IKON did not do the initial setup on-site, therefore the problem with

the machine was present prior to my arrival. The machine exhibited a hard error of E061-0031 (potential control

failure). It would not get past initialization.

Initially I tried: a new grid-no change inspected and cleaned charging assy-no change vacuum out machine and attempt initialization-no change I contacted Canon Tech Support, they suggested doing a DCCon clear and reinput door specs-I performed a DCCon clear, reinput door specs with no change.

I called my team leader and discussed problem. I tried replacing the drum-no change. I talked to Canon again, they suggested a potential control sensor. I talked to another teammate and he suggested the HVT-DC board. I talked to Rebecca and she had her supplier send me an HVT-DC board and Potential Control board. Rebecca called me when parts came in. I came out and installed the HVT-DC-no change The potential sensor arrived without the sensor. I tried to get the machine

working without the new sensor-no change I ordered the complete assembly through our parts system. I later returned with the sensor assy and replaced it- no change ( I removed the new sensor and reinstalled the original one) the machine is still non-functional with an E061-0031 error. It has never worked since it arrived.

Based on the above, I can only conclude that upon installation or in transit, damage has occurred to either the DC Controller, the DC Driver or both.

Color Specialist, IKON

I would not recommend this company. They have not returned any of my money and I have since purchased another color copier and still have a broke machine that has cost me $4,000.00 dollars.
