I had a guy approach my friend and I today (1/3/02) in Carlsbad, CA. (Just north of San Diego) He said his name was Al, and that he worked for a company called Tri-star Productions. There was the number he gave me.
It is a Sprint Vx.-mail, no company phone. He was driving a White Suburban. He is average height and has a medium to heavy build. Oh, and he is completely bald. (shaved head) Be on the lookout for this guy. He fed us the same LIES and my friend ended up actually buying the speakers. We have yet to test them, but are highly skeptical.
Has anyone tried to contact the company to see if they are behind the scam? Or is their name being used to sell low quality mechandise? Either way, something has to be done. San Diego... if you see this guy, e-mail me immediately at Rip-off Report at [email protected] refrence report# 10562 and Ripoff Report will forward it to me. I have a couple friends that he should meet.
